Draught @ bbf. Small beige head on top of a very dark brown (but not black) beer. Great aroma of raw malts, dark chocolate, resins, (cedar) wood, whisky and sweet alcohol. Sweet taste, with chocolate, resins, soft sweet alcohol, wood and whisky. One of my festival favorites.

Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival. Pours black with no head. Aroma has instant barrel impressions with vanilla up front, whisky, coconut, then smooth chocolate, sweet liquorice, coffee, nice roasted with hints of dark fruits and berries. Very sweet aroma, and the whisky is well implemented and not overpowering at all. Taste has cocoa, liquorice, nice whisky impresions, vanilla, dark berries, coconut all in a thick bodied and low carbonated elixir. I really like the use of the barrel in this beer. Very well done.
