Thick and sticky with no head. Bourbon and vanilla notes, Sweet finish, chocolate and bitter.

Sampled at Dak’s. Pours a dark brown with garnet hue color. Aroma is whiskey, vanilla, wood and some roast. Taste is sweet with more whiskey and vanilla. Full bodied and sticky. Awesome beer! Very happy to have tried this.

Pitch black body, no head. Aroma has acidic malty stoutlike notes, coffee, chocolate, wood and dark fruits. Very deep and intense flavour, ashy, a bit rubbery when warms. Bourbon hints. Slightly cheesy..

Black with a small beige. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon. Flsvor is very sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily and smooth. 210412

A very good rounded flavor. Roasted fruity and good bitterness. Black in color, creamy head, but quickly fading.

Bottle #2218, bottled on 08/06/2010, thanks to Benzai. It pours very dark brown, with a bubbly tan head. The nose is vanilla. icing sugar, caramel, toffee, roasted malt, coffee, marzipan and ginger bread. The taste is vanilla, toffee, coconut, brown sugar, coffee liqueur, roasted malt, booze, bourbon, oak, ripe banana, hot cross buns, marzipan and charcoal, with a warming finish. Medium sweetness, full body and low carbonation. Complex, flavoursome and well balanced.

25cl bottle at Erzbierschof. Pours black with no real head. Smells amazing, of bourbon, whisky, vanilla, and distilled goodness. Tastes of a heavy sweetness, strong bitter, some smoke. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Finishes semisweet with Bourbony vanilla.

Had it a few times now, this is some of the best beer made, ever. Black with no head, rich awsome aroma. Coffee, cocoa, vinouse, wood and toffee, full bodied powerfull Complex sweet flavor, balances by complexity and alchohol. Highly enjoyable even in Very small dosis.

Bottle at home in London with Paul. Vintage 2010. Pours oily black with a small, bubbly beige head. Definitely some hard alcohol notes in the nose, a bit of sweet smoke, wood, light vanilla. Big sweet flavor, sweet bourbon, burnt dark chocolate, vanilla, alcohol, some moss. Full bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Some heat in the finish, dark sugar, brownies, vanilla, bourbon, licks of licorice, hints of tobacco. Very solid beer. Complex to the max.

Dark Coke like black colour with almost no head. Vinous aroma with red wine and roasted malt. Wine is soon taking over the Imperial Stout in aroma. Flavour is more Imperial Stout. Roasted malt and liquorice. Alcohol presence is inevitable. This kicks ass.
