Bottle pour. Thick black with a beige head of foam. Leather, tobacco, vanilla, toasted nuts, oak. Lighter bourbon. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Leather is strong. Really good.

33cl bottle, bottlod on Jan28th 2013. 11% says the label.Pours black with a very thin, just noticeable brown head, bubbly. Lovely aroma, bourbon first, then subtle woody notes, sweetness, licorice, vanilla, honey. Complex and so inviting. The taste compromises of wood, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, bourbon in the back, roasted malt. Finish is long with alcohol warmth, roastedness, coffee. One of the better imperial stouts I have had in a while. Complex, full bodied, heavy, still so smooth and enjoyable.

Black with basically zero head. Amazing aroma consisting of perfectly balanced barrel notes along the lines of vanilla, fudge, caramel, light coffee, doughy cookies and cream. The silky clean, low carbonated palate delivers almost the same explosion of complex flavors though suffers perhaps just a tad from the lack of carbonation. Still a wonderful beer, or perhaps one should call it a piece of art.

Bottle thanks to Mathieuc. Thanks! Pours a pretty damn thick black with almost no head. Aromas of smooth Kentucky bourbon, roasted blackness. Taste is a mouthful and two handfuls of black thickness. Slightly sweet, no hint of alcohol in the mouth. Finishes semi-sweet and very roasty. Very little perceptible hop bite. Very nice.

Bottle: thanks, Will! Black on black with some deep brown all around the edges of the glass; almost no head on this one, just a small tan ring that outlines the top of the beer. Aroma is full of deep cocoa, booze, & a touch of coffee beans. Seems more roasty than the 666 version; darker roast & oilier beans. Bourbon is heavy, front to back. Taste is up front with the bourbon & oak, followed up sweet cocoa & lots of smooth, roasted malt. Big chocolate character, too, swinging heavy with the bourbon once more. Finish of dry cocoa, light coffee, toast, oak, & bourbon warmth. Another good beer, but perhaps hampered just slightly by too much booze & too little complexity. Still very nice, though, but it could have been great.

Bottle. Opaque black pour, with a very thin veil of tan foam. Powerful aroma, brownies and milk chocolate fill your nose, cherry fruitiness, roasty notes. Taste is sweet, nice roastiness to balance, chocolate with coffee aftertaste. Palate is silky, a bit flat, looonnnggg lasting finish. Very nice sipper.

Pours pitch black with small brownish head, lasting. Intense toffee and molasses aromas at first, hints of bourbon and milk chocolate. Smooth silky palate, low carbonation, beautiful bourbon and burnt caramel notes, everlasting finish. Superb.
