Bottle at home, from Cotteridge Wines, 14/07/13. Mid black, thin tan film that retains well. Nose is roast malt, brown sugar, light booze, chocolate, oaky, vanilla, toffee fudge. Taste comprises dark malts, light roastyness, chocolate, demerara sugars, toffee fudge, subtle bourbon notes giving a nice boozey taste but by no means overhwelming. Full bodied, fine carbonation, smooth and caressing to the palate. Great stuff, the best Impy I’ve had in a while - will buy up more of these given the chance. The alcohol is hardly noticeable, the mouth feel pitched perfectly making it dangerousuly drinkable.

Itty bittie bottle from Alvinne beershop. Bottle # 955. Pours very brown/black with a couple of tan bubbles. Aroma is to die for. Bourbon, oak and chocolate. Full bodied with miniscule carbonation. Flavor is burnt malt, bourbon, chocolate, and possibly coffee. Mild heat. Thick and syrupy, but the oakiness offsets that. Super!

Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Bottle #41
Pours dark brown (perhaps the barrel has ’stolen’ some colour, as this is even lighter in colour than the regular). Small, creamy, beige film head. Exceptional aroma. So subtle yet so powerful. Whiskey, port, vanilla, oak, lots of coffee, dark toffee, light liqourice. Vinious and with good dark chocolate on top. Low carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is really nice. Lots of oak, vanilla, coffee, heavy liqourice, light couch-syrup, vinious. Long, lingering coffee and mild hoppy and vinious finish. Exceptional.
