4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle @ home. Bottled on 02/07/13. Pitch black, thick light brown head. Strong bourbon notes, really strong. honey sweetness, some licoricy notes as well. Very smooth stuff this, but the bourbon is taking over too much I think. Flavor has bourbon, wood, licorice and some lingering vanilla-like sweetness. The finish is awesome. Another positive thing is that is it not that sweet, and alcohol is very well masked. As much as I like BA brews, but here it takes over too much. Still a beer I could very well drink again, for sure.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into the Borefts taster. Labeled Bourbon Barrel Aged, bottled on 19/11/13, ABV 11%
Totally black beer, with a very small line of head, dark brown in colour, consisting actually of big bubbles mostle. Okay retention for its size, it leaves light lacing on the glass after a swirl of the glass.
Aroma of bourbon and wood, roasted malts, light vanilla, alcohol.
Very nice taste, chocolate and lots of it, alcohol, vanilla again, even some dark fruits, less bourbon than the aroma but still there.
Thick body, good carbonation, surprisingly dry on the palate.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2010 vintage. 25 cL bottle courtesy of Chris served next to the base, Bunnahabhain barrel and 666 versions. Pours deep oily black with a few bubbles but no head. The nose has big notes of molasses, vanilla and oak, along with chocolate, tobacco and roasted malts. The flavour is quite sweet with big chocolate and vanilla combined with oak, bourbon, molasses and tobacco. The finish is long and roasty with vanilla and bourbon. On the palate it is medium in body with a silky smooth texture and no carbonation. Overall, wow, this is a great barrel-aged imperial stout. It is incredibly complex, appropriate for fireplace sipping on a cold winter’s night. 2014-03-29

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ciemny brąz skryty pod niską brązową pianą, aromaty nalewkowe, bourbonowe, palonych słodów, kawy. Nieco alkoholowe w smaku, ale w dobrą stronę (czekoladki z wiśniami w likierze to idealne porównanie). Finisz nieco ściągający (jak dobra łycha), jednak przyjemny. Coś pięknego...

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Small format bottle from Tipples dated 1/28/13 poured on 3/28/14. Nothing specific to Wild Turkey mentioned on this, just says "Ale aged in Bourbon barrels". Pours a thick dark black color with a small dark brown head. Beautiful fudgy chocolate bourbon aroma, caramel, vanilla, more chocolate. Flavor is lots of bourbon up front, sweet syrupy chocolate sauce notes, big burst of vanilla caramel on the finish. Huge thick mouthfeel with low carbonation. This reminds me a lot of BCS but with what feels like even more heft. Very nice...this just sits on the shelf here and I need to buy more of it (all of it?).
