180 ml bottle, clear, with red wax on the cap and neck. Brewed 10 Oct 2010, bottled 14 February 2011. Bottle 1529 of 1560. Thanks for bringing this back from Europe, bsuedekum! Pours a dark, opaque brown with no head whatsoever and some yeasties in the bottom. Big bourbon aroma, with oak, dark fruits (figs, plums, dates), vanilla, caramel, chocolate, and roast. Flavor of the same dark fruits, brown sugar, charred oak, tobacco, caramel, roasted malts, and vanilla. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, rich mouthfeel. Lovely. Absolutely delicious.

Bottle at the Kulminator
Pours a black color with a super loose head that manages to leave some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is sweet & roasty, loaded with bourbon, and even has something odd to it that is almost tequila like. Boozy and huge smelling (in a good way)

The flavor follows the aroma, lots of bourbon, lots of vanilla, very sweet, very roasty. I love Wild Turkey, and this beer utilizes the character of that bourbon very well. Some sour mashiness, lots of wood. Very rich.

Shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad. Brewed 10 Oct 2010 Bottled 14/21 Feb 2011 Bottle 1299 of 1560 The beer is dark brown with a thin, beige head of broken bubbles. The head fades rapidly, leaving an oily film on the snifter. The aroma offers a healthy dose of oak and barrels, followed by roast and booze. The beer also tastes very oak forward, even somewhat tannic. The flavor exhibits a nice roast character, as well as notes of chocolate covered berries. Additional flavors include malt, syrup, molasses. The feel is relatively full bodied, with lingering notes of oak and booze. Overall, I found this to be pretty tasty. I would have it again.

Almost totally flat. Heavy nose with dominating flavours of sweet molasses, vanilla and bourbon.

Little bottle thanks to Kristina at WLV Liquors! A - Pours black, bubbles on top, no head, no lace, no cap. S - Dark fruit, Wild Turkey, char, chocolate, oak. The booze is obviously there, but doesn’t take over and actually compliments the rest of the beer. Dark fruits and chocolate pretty much take the rest of the nose. T - Caramel, maple syrup, burnt sugars, booze, chocolate, light vanilla. The palate doesn’t feature the dark fruity sweetness like the nose does, which I much prefer. The booze is decently smooth for 10% and doesn’t hurt the beer. The finish is light char, chocolate, and oaked Wild Turkey. A sipper. Develops more char as the beer warms, which is a bit off-putting. M - Medium, body is perhaps a bit too thin, very light carbonation (if any), creamy rich finish. O - A nice RIS but I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s World Class. The taste and nose are good (not outstanding), but the light carbonation, thin body, and char notes hurt the overall score. That said, I would drink again, no problem at all.

Consumed at a ticking. Black in color with just a few bubbles of head. Medium noise on the pour (inspired by Sammy to mention that). Big rich bourbon aroma with molasses, anise, and dark chocolate. Big intense flavor. Some sweetness and a big blackstrap molasses note with some bourbon and oak on the finish. Thick mouthfeel; you can feel its heft. Low carbonation. Great beer.

18cl Bottle @ Kulminator, Antwerp. Bottle nr. 1042. Black coloured stout with a very small brown coloured head. Very strong aroma, hints of bitter chocolate, almost cheesy bits, fruitys and malts. Full palate with a light alcoholic touch. Finish is pure bitter chocolate, alcholic hints and light roasted malty bitter touches. Amazing taste. Very special.

Pours black with no head and a few dark bubbles looming around the edges. Nose is rich dark brownie, lightly smoked, roasted malt. Basically still in the mouth, flavors are gooey brownie, weird, ash barrel on the finish, almost cigarette like. Some nice rich chocolate flavors. Why are all the BA De Molen bottles so freakin ashy? This is one of the better ones and it’s still not great, way over rated. Some carb would have been nice, maybe it’s just this bottle.

Bottle at RK2. 250ml clear glass bottle. Black and murky brown. Nose is bangin’. Broings to mind chocolate cake batter or partially melted Haagen Daaz cookies and cream. An easy 10 and I’d give it an 11 if I could. Under carbonated a bit like bourbon county. Chocolate, sweet molasses. Caramel. Wonderfully complex. This was a real standout.
