[9/26/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. 20%. Black with a brown head. Aroma of coffee, bourbon, vanilla and some dark chocolate. Flavor of dark chocolate, roast, some alcohol, vanilla, wood, a bit of coconut and some coffee in a bitterish and slightly boozy finish. Thick full body.

tap @ Borefts 2014. Pour murky dark brown, with a small tan creamy head. Aroma is pretty sick of licorice, plenty of caramel, vanilla, bitter coffee beans. The taste is pretty darn sweet up front, but has a lot of bitterness to it as well. A small kick of alcohol in the back of the throat. Oily and semi thick body, with a pretty flat carb. Pretty good, pretty extreme!!

On tap at Borefts Festival 2014. Comes almost black with just the hint of foam. Aroma and taste are roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, bourbon, dark fruit, and vanilla. Glad to have the opportunity to try this amazing Imperial Stout. Wish it could be found here in the U.S.

Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival 2014. Caramel, coffee, vanilla and chocolate in the aroma. Huge body with a very smooth flavor. Alcohol is very well hidden. Lovely.

Draft at Borefts 2014. Pours a very dark brown with a tiny yellow head and an aroma of cacao, roasted malts, vanilla, espresso, whiskey, toffee and porto. The taste is heavily sweet, but with lots of complexity, some alcohol, but not boozy like you would expect from a 20% beer. Some bitterness in the finish. This is a fantastic beer, one of the winners of the festival for me!

Tap @ BBF 14. Pours a very dark brown with a tiny head. Aroma has lots of dark fruits, sweet chocolate, roasted malts, sweet port notes, vanilla, coconut and a little bit of heat. The taste has those same sweet and gentle dark fruity notes. Some vanilla, coconut, chocolate and bourbony notes. Hides the alcohol pretty well. A nice and good sipper!

Tap @ Borefts 2014. Dark black colour, almost no foam. Oily texture. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, vanilla and bourbon. Boozy and very sweet. Good but a bit too much bourbon.
