4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Pitch black color. Beige, light brown head. Aroma’s are wonderful and subtle: bourbon, sweet chocolate, oak, light smoke/peat, roasted malts, a bit alcohol. More sweet chocolate retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, somewhat alcoholic, chocolate-y. Strong alcohol feel, warming and a bit prickly. Velvety mouthfeel. Flavor develops towards roasted malts, slightly ashy, lightly bitter. This is how I like my Molen impies!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2013 A dark black beer, with a quick disapering light brown head. In the nose, there is roasted coffee malts, smoke, and a touch of the Bourbon. It is very full bodied beer, with a low carbonation. In the taste there a light smokiness, light coffee, and a strong Bourbon flavour. This continous in the aftertaste. A very good beer, a nice touch of the classic h&a.
