Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are peat, tar, ashtray smoke, roast malt and chocolate. I still dont get why good beer must be destroyed by peated whisky.

Black waxed 33cl bottle (bottled on date Aug 28th, 2012, 11% ABV) pours with a deep dark body that supports a full fairly tight mocha colored head. The aroma offers up modest chocolate notes that quickly run into firm peaty to smoke and then bandaid. The taste is similar where nice rich chocolate notes intermingle with big big peat that has a firm rubbery bandaid sort of thing going on. If you like peat and chocolate then this is it. Overall I find this enjoyable but would prefer a bit less peat in order to create better flavor balance. This has held up very nice being that is has been in my frig for more than a year.

Well this is better than some in the series, but still not a beer I would ever revisit. Pours black, tiny brown head. I get some chocolate, some charred barrel notes, some peat, smoke, bandaid. Just ok IMO.
