Rating # 12 from the danish beer festival 2009. I love smoke, so this is a sure winner! Deep black with a small dark brown head. Heavy roasted malt aroma with tar notes, coffee, chocolate and oak. Nice smoke in the mouth aroma again. With a well rounded amuont of alchohol and loads of roastyness. Great!

Draught. [Beer festival 2009] Average beige head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Black color. Aroma of smoke, roasted malt, chocolate, mild fruity and liquorish like notes. Quite full bodied with an average carbonation and light alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Lingering sweet smoky finish. More sophisticated then the “regular” Hemel & Aarde.

Tap @ Ølfestival, Valby, 2009.
Pours utterly black with just a slight bit of brown at the sides. Nice, staying, beige, creamy head. Aroma is smoky, roasted and dark chocolate. Low carbonation and a nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is smoky, chocolate, cocoa, quite elegantly composed. Some sweetness, but with fair bitterness as well. Definately better than the regular version.
