On tap. Pours a completely opaque black with a small beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and tar. Quite full-bodied with sweetish hard roasted malt, bitter chocolate, vanilla and a piquante smoky edge from the Bruichladdich Barrel. Discreet bitterness. Very well balanced. 150509

Bottled@Monks Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Quite much pitch black colour with not too much head. Aroma is roasted malts, dark dry fruits, bunch of smooth whisky, some vanilla as well as some slight wooden notes as well. Flavour is very much the same in a really pleasant balance.

Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very dark brown, no head. Sweet and chocolatey. Full bodied with soft mouthfeel. Salty molasses and milk chocolate embraces you with a thick syrupy very sweet sensation. Notes of coffee, very mild woodiness. Not my favourite amongs de Molen’s dark offerings.

Black color. Very nice Imperial Stout aroma, peaty and lightly phenolic, strong, persistent. Strong body, sweet, with strong caramel chocolate and roasted malt at the end; delicately smoked, some leather, very light tobacco. Gorgeus!
