Bottle 75cl.
Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, smoke - peat, bourbon, moderate hoppy. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy - oily, carbonation is soft. [20090226]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, chocolate, caramel, and smoke. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of smoke.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy light brown head. Hard roasted malt aroma, tar and peaty smoke. Quite full-bodied with loads of burned malt and tobacco with an underlying vanilla sweetness. Some malt bitterness yet manages to end sweet. 160509

75 cL bottle. Pours black, pitch black with a dense and small tan head. Smoked and roasted malt aroma, promise of a smooth, thick and smoked imp stout. Dry to sweet dense malty initially flavour impression with a light smoked note and light acidic note coming through. Lasting smoked, chocolate and dark to hardroasted malt impression into the far finish.

Bottled (226 out of 360). Pitch black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is dark dry dark fruits, some caramel malts, raisins, licorice, mild alcohol and some slight berries and fruits, Flavour is mild roasted malts, grass, flavour and some licorice as well as dark dry fruits and coffee. This would probably do a good job in wooden oak casks or something. A wellbalanced and nicely roasted imperial stout with coffee and some slight fruity notes. A very complex, yet wellbalanced imperial stout. Can’t say much more than WOW.

Bottle at PreZBF at Alvinne. Pitch black coloured with a medium sized beige head. Roasted aroma of caramel, liquorice, chocolate and dried fruits with notes of smoke. Roasted flavour of caramelk, smoke, chocolate and dried fruits. Roasted and smoked finish.

Bottle, 9.5%. Good smoky aroma. Good sweet liquorice note. Black colour. Small brown head. The flavour starts off smoky, like a mild campfire. Good sweetness, some sweet liquorice, hint of roasted malts. Long smoky aftertaste, quite peaty. Very good.

Very dark color, small head. Very nice aroma, balanced, roasted malt, phenol, alcohol, smoke. Good body, good flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, well sweet with very good smoke touch. Great.

Bottle nr. 155 of 240 from HJHansen, Odense. Pours black with a small bubbly head. Nose and taste is roasted malts, coffee, mocha, chocolate, soy sauce, smoke, wood, whisky. Medium and smooth palate. Oily and sticky. Low and flat carbonation. The peat appears but is somehow balanced and not overwhelming. Ends dry and roasted.

(180ml bottle, #274/1683, brewed 14 Dec 2009, bottled 18 Jun 2010) Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of smoke, chocolate, peat, and caramel. Flavor of smoke, caramel, dark chocolate, and mild tobacco.
