Black with a great beige head. Aroma is smoke, bourbon, oak, molasses, leather, dates, figs, anise. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, smooth, complex and lightly smoky on the palate with a lightly sweet and roasty finish. Taste is molasses, bourbon, anise, smoke, raisins, dates, figs, hints of vanilla, chocolate and coffee. So damned good.

bottle from řlbutikken, pitch dark, smooth light brown head. rich salty aroma of wood, roasted malts, licorice. flavor is wood, licorice, roasted malts. brutal in intensity, but sort of balanced in the corner of wood and salt and licorice and loads of roasted malts. that part is so intense that hops don’t really matter, and whatever hops there is, are overpowered by the BA imp stout flavors. notes from the booze come through too, adding depth and warmth.

Bottle. Black in color, beige head. Roasted malty notes, hints of vanilla spicyness, some traces of wood and darker chocolate in aroma. There’s some smoke perhaps too. A mix of chocolate, licorice and peat in taste. Quite flavourful though. Some sweets made with smokey elements in the end. A sipper with a delicate burning vibe and has even got to offer some bitters and roasted notes in aftertaste.

33 cl bottle shared by Mike. Deep brown black with a tan rim. Strong dark malt, lots of peaty smoke, somewhat metallic, iodine, molasses, light vanilla and wood. Medium+ body, relaxed carbonation. Rich dark malt, molasses, a little wood, bourbon, smoke, quite nice; sweet with some alcohol and a long, smoky, inky finish.

Complete black color with almost no head. Rich aroma with wood, bourbon, chocolate and coffee. Thick oily body with a very soft or flat carbonation. Rich flavor with chocolate, licorice, bourbon and wood. Tasty little devil. Well masked alcohol.

Bottle from Erzbierschof - bottled on 2nd july 2013 - Black color with a small persistent beige head, good lacing - Aroma of oak, vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, licorice, soy sauce, coffee, toffee, very complex aroma profile - Flavor is oaky, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, sweet roasted malt - Full body, medium bitterness completely hidden by alcohol and sugar, medium carbonation, sweet and creamy, long and delicious sweet chocolate vanilla bourbon finish - Amazing beer as always, complex, a little bit too sweet (too young) but will aged very well

Popped this after a nice cold bath in the ocean. Pours black with a brown lacing. Aroma of liquorice, roasted malts, some woody barrel character, smoke and some dark chocolate. Taste is quite smokey and woody with notes of chocolate, roasted malts and some liquorice. Decent enough!
