COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Stout – 10,2% vol. Twice the amount of dark roasted malts used, massive Imperial stout. This is a mad one. Black brown colour with a thick and creamy tan head that can be added to as you wish if you give the bottle a swirl. Give this beer time to breathe and blossom into something truly stunning. Chocolate and alcohol are right there at the front but do not at all overpower the gorgeousness that is underneath. Full of leather, vanilla, amazing wooden notes, beautifully floral character from the hops, thick Belgian chocolate, much character. The flavour of crazy wooden tartness. An extremely bitter finish seems to come out of nowhere and is what really makes this quite unique. Superb width in the mouth and coats the whole palate beautifully. Alcohol 12% in latere versies

Bottle. Wonderful thick black oily appearance with two fingers of dense mocha head. Aroma is smoke, ash, anise, and milk chocolate. Taste is coffee, bitter roast, dark chocolate, and honey. Finshes bitter, full bodied, with light carbonation. How is this 12%? There’s really no hint of the booze, this is dangerously good.

One of the best Imperial Stouts from De Molen (it’s difficult to rank them in order), close to the perfect Imperial Stout canon. I could write about ir for hours, but I wouldn’t get close to all the sensations that this beer bring to your mouth/nose/body. Wow.

Flaska. Mörk, mörk brun öl med ett medelstort moccafärgat skum. Dofterna är trevliga om än inte fantastiska, kanske beroende på att vanilj är en ingrediens här. Men även mörk choklad och kaffe hittar fram. Men smakerna, oj vad ölen tar igen allt här. Fullsmockat med kaffe, choklad, saltlakrits, trä, en lätt fruktighet. Stor och full munkänsla. Enastående beska. Det är bara att njuta, njuta och fortsätta njuta.

Bottiglia 33cl comprata da giangaspero e bevuta a casa. Nera con schiuma piuttosto persistente. Amara, torrefatta, corpo pesante. Finale amaro ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

Bottle from Jane’s Beer Store, Mountain View, CA. Aroma: holy crap - massive roasty grainy aroma. Taste is heavenly smooth chocolate, molasses, coffee, slightly burnt, with a bitter finish. Thick smooth body. A terrific example of an imperial stout. Best beer I’ve had in a long time.

0.33, Bottled 1/8/2013. Deep brown, almost no head. Dark cocoa aroma, coffe and soy sauce. Sweet black coffee taste, molasses and burnt malt. Warming alcohol and strong burnt bitterness final. Full body, oily texture.

330ml bottle pours black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate, roasted grains, coffee and dark fruits. Taste is a roasted grain and coffee bitterness with a chocolate malty and dark pitted fruity sweetness finishing with some smoky notes. Medium to heavy bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, this is a tasty brew that I recommend to others to try.

Bottle from Cornelius. Black body with a thick tan head. Lots if sticky lacing. Aroma of prunes, rich chocolate cake, wood and cocoa powder. Flavour of chocolate, raisins and a slightly peppery finish. Full body with a thick, syrupy mouthfeel. Light carbonation. Rich and flavoursome. Hides the 11.9% ABV well.
