COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Stout – 10,2% vol. Twice the amount of dark roasted malts used, massive Imperial stout. This is a mad one. Black brown colour with a thick and creamy tan head that can be added to as you wish if you give the bottle a swirl. Give this beer time to breathe and blossom into something truly stunning. Chocolate and alcohol are right there at the front but do not at all overpower the gorgeousness that is underneath. Full of leather, vanilla, amazing wooden notes, beautifully floral character from the hops, thick Belgian chocolate, much character. The flavour of crazy wooden tartness. An extremely bitter finish seems to come out of nowhere and is what really makes this quite unique. Superb width in the mouth and coats the whole palate beautifully. Alcohol 12% in latere versies

Appearance: pours a very dark, nearly opaque, with a nice reddish-brown foamy cap that unfortunately quickly dissipates Aroma has prunes, malts, and a little orange. Mouthfeel: this drinks like a classic milk stout. The body is incredibly creamy – beautiful. Flavour: is again lots of prunes, with a chocolatey/coffee malt layer underneath, and a hint of orange peel at the end. I was pleasantly surprised to find hardly any toasty notes here. Drinkability: this could be a beer you’d love one glass after another. It could be, if there wasn’t the 10.2% alcohol in it. It’s such a sweet, creamy, tasty, drinkable beer.

Piwo pite z kontynuacyjnego kranu. Czarne, nieprzejrzyste, z be?ow? pian? w postaci kr??ka. W aromacie przede wszystkim kawa i gorzka czekolada.

W aromacie kawa, deserowa czekolada, leciutka nuta rozpuszczalnikowa szybko znika.

Another Imperial stout from De molen: Sweet malts, chocolate, dark fruit. Taste is rich, very balanced. Smooth carbonation. Good, but not impressive imperial stout.

Butelka. Data ważności - do 2039 r.! Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta.

21.10.2014. Almost black beer with no foam. Very intense roasted aroma, coffee. Heavy. Palate is smooth but not much carbonation. Plenty of heavy roast, coffee, chocolate and slightly dry hoppy finish with warmth of alcohol. Letting the beer to get some air brings more complexity and vanilla and wood to replace some of the taste of alcohol. Still expected even more.

Bottle, Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Pitch black pour with a tan head. Choc, molasses, coffee, dark fruits and roasted malt lined up in the beak. Flavour was more choc and coffee alongside vanilla, booze (pretty prominent), liquorice and burnt malts. Fullish with minimal carbonation. Quality beer.. Liked this a lot. What do you believe in ?....

0,33 bottle. Pours (it almost dark brown/black colour with thin, almost diminishing chocolate brown head. Wonderful strong aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Full body with thick, oily texture, smooth carbonation. Rich taste of chocolate and coffee with intensive bittersweetness, alcohol is masked in it and almost is not feeled. Aftertaste is long and chocolate bitter, astringent. Best beer i’ve tried ever.
