2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, thin white head. Slight gusher. Aroma is spicy, somewhat murky, some fruity hops, strangely yeasty, quite harsh and out of balance. Flavor is sweetish, sour and with a bitter finish. A bit rough. Not my paw of tea.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
hazy orange colour, minimal off-white head, which disappears promptly; excellent aroma, of intensive floral notes, honey and fruitiness (maybe mango dominance, apple and overripe figs); taste of floral hops, fruitiness (mainly figs), honey and...fruits again; a bit watery, but I really love it! great ale, though not a typical APA (it reminds me much more to the English ales)

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, orange-amber colour with a huge and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly toasted malty and wheaty aroma with notes of caramel, black tea, Belgian yeasty spice and a subtle fruity touch. Sour and mildly bitter flavour, light bodied with a sparkling carbonation. Sourish fruity taste with citrus, lemon, as well as notes of tannic black tea on a slightly cara-malty and wheaty base; sour and slightly bitter-tart finish, again with tannic tea notes. I would not order a second one. 30.VI.14

Clear medium to dark orange color with a small, fizzy to virtually none, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, spicy, herbs - tea. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, herbs, spicy, tea, flowers. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat to soft.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Lively beer, came cushing out the bottle. Tastes a bit flat. The tea is noticable and nice, but the high CO2 is pushing the taste west. Needs some tuning.

2.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma is weinig complex, wat zacht zure scherpte met weeďge tonen wat niet thuis te brengen is. Smaak is verfrissend, bijna delicaat. Allemaal lichte toontjes bitter met verkwikkende zoete speldeprikjes. Nasmaak is droog, inderdaad het thee achtige blijft achter in mond. Valt goed in de mond, heftige kraag die lang blijft op oranje. Zes maanden over datum.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Beer number 3 in my personal tasting evening on 26th Apr 2014. 33cl bottle, Birth date 6th Aug 2013. Poured into a Leffe badged chalice. Rightly or wrongly I allowed the sediment to leave the bottle, so my beer was cloudy: on top of the moody looking dull, old gold body was a wispy covering of white bubbles.
Dry and tea like (would I have said that if I hadn’t known there was tea within the brew? I doubt it!). Slight yeast feel to the aroma, some mild floral notes, passion fruit sweetness and those tea esters (honest) make up the smell for me.
Taste wise it seemed lacking in flavour although the passion fruit sweetness from the nose came through loud and clear in the mouth, yet subdued by those tea hints which both calmed and bittered the overall taste. Difficult to pigeonhole both aroma and flavour wise, interesting but not really ’my cup of tea’.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Slightly hazy, orangey golden to amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Cautious hoppy aroma, notes of fruit tea, some peach, rose hip, hibiscus, bergamot. Taste replicates similar notes but with a focus on more fruity flavours close to apricot and peach; also a bitter note. More tea than beer; unusual but not bad, though.
