Bottle. Four days past bb date. Gushed right out of the bottle. Initially high, creamy head disappears momentarily. Cloudy dark copper colour with visible yeast bits. Aroma of strong black tea and smoke, sweet. Taste thickish, dense, smoky, sweetish, carbonation mid to high, bitterness intense, short, herbal/tea. Aftertaste strong tea, smoke, roast. Weird stuff, but I think I could get used to it.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Sinterklaas. Hazy amber with almost no head. Smoky aroma with some faints malts. Drinking this is like a drinking cold fizzy tea in which a burning cigarette fell in. Not my kind of thing really.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy amber colour without head. Smoky aroma reminds me of "Russischer Rauchtee" formerly available at "Victorias Welt", a touch of salami. Taste is bitter, herbal, smoky; some malt sweetness in between, hints of lemon. Quite strange and unbalanced in taste, absolutely OK aroma.

hazy orange colour, medium sized off-white head, which lasts for some minutes; aroma of smoke, some smoked ham and green tea; taste of roastedness, smoky notes and a bit too intensive tea; will not be my favourite smoked beer

Bottle @ Tulip Inn, Bodegraven. Semigusher, that pours golden with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, mild smoke, bacon, wood, some tartness, tea ? Flavor is malt, smoke, wood, infected lemonlike sourness. Medium body, lively carbonation, sour finish. 260714

Looks pretty bad and palate not great, but you get both the smoke and the tea, mostly in the aftertaste. Interesting, especially with the low alcohol content. Bottle from De Zwart in Wilnis.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Amsterdam. Brewed(?) 09.09.2013
Not sure what Hofje van Wijs is, but I bought mine at some liquor store at Amsterdam
Aroma has smoke and tar – feels quite like Lapsang Souchong. Also some sweet malt and grainy tones in the background. And raw bun dough typical to grätzers. Flavour is somewhat tart with citrus, gooseberry bush leaves, smoke and dough. Also rising grapefruit after some sips. This has captured the soul of the tea quite well, but I wonder if the tartness is intentional. Or is this just too old bottle? Without the tart notes this could be delicious and unique, now this just feels somewhat contaminated.

Bottle. A Lapsang Souchon smoked tea beer. Points for originality. Pours Amber Orange with no head. The smoky woody flavouring is too dominant. It was interesting at first then turned in to a bit of a chore. Black forest ham. Not carbonated enough. Not balanced enough. Ham fisted.

Tsja, rokerig en stoffig in aroma, zuur en rokerig in smaak, en licht rokertje in nasmaak. Niet spannend, wel drinkbaar. 6 maanden overtijd.
