Black colour, no head (few floating bubbles). Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, roasted malts, some bitterness. Sweet malty flavour, roasted malts, vanilla and bourbon. Light spicy chili in the finish, vanilla and bourbon. Rather nice brew but not really hot and/or spicy.

A dark red brown beer, with a little light beige head, a clear beer. In the nose there is dark chocolat, light coffee, alcohol and it is light sweet. It is a full bodied beer, with low carbonation. In the taste there is alcohol, dark chocolat, light roasted malts. In the aftertaste the peper kicks in, and your mouth is set on fire!!! I like it a lot, not that hot as the real madame janettes though. Some where between the peper there some alcohol and sweetness. A decent stout with burning hot finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Borefts ’13, 27/09/13. Mid black with no head. Nose is dark roast, woody notes, toffee, vanilla fudge, boozey strains. Taste comprises light spice, cocoa, dark toffee, dark fruits, peppery. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light chilli spice in a slightly warming finish. Does what it says on the tin and a well balanced spicy beer at that.

Much of the same flavour as the Naga Jolokia version, but less heat, actually almost no heat to me ... just bitterness and good roasty coffee and malt flavours.
But as to spices ? really nothing to me so bit of a let down.
There’s a friend of mine that made chocolate with bacon and plain chillies and that was even hotter then this beer or the Naga Jolokia version ...
