3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Much of the same flavour as the Naga Jolokia version, but less heat, actually almost no heat to me ... just bitterness and good roasty coffee and malt flavours.
But as to spices ? really nothing to me so bit of a let down.
There’s a friend of mine that made chocolate with bacon and plain chillies and that was even hotter then this beer or the Naga Jolokia version ...

Very good spiced. Not overdone in my opinion (ofcourse, it is hot...). Still bitterness and chocolate. Lovely spiced brew.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Borefts 2013 - Aroma is rather strong in alcohol. It’s a solid roasty, malty stout with moderately warming heat.

Black beer with a brown lacing on top.
Aroma of roast, coffee, chinese food, tauge, spices, chocolate and dust.
Flavours of spices, roast, pepper, chocolate, leaves, cream, bitter and light liquorice wood.
Aftertaste is a mix of spices, grass, roast, cream and chocolate.
Low carbo, soft silky mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Borefts, 2013. Flavors of pepper, lots of chocolate, lots of citrus, lime, sweet. Very interesting and peppery, but without being a mouth-burning fiasco. One of the better pepper beers to date for me.

As Hot & Spicy III (but still with Madame Jeanette so correctly the same beer on RB). Dark chocolate, roasted pecan nuts, humous, roasted malts. Taste is on itself a great full bodied imperial stout with dark sweetness and solid bitterness, but the heat of the chilli is giving a new dimension. It’s on the line of too much for my (low) chilli-heat-in-beer standards, but works well. Would prefer a chilliless version but certainly a high quality brew. (On tap at Borefts 2013)

Hot & spici III. Zwarte kleur met weinig schuim. Zoetige rum, chocolade geur. Smaakt prima, zoetige en een lichte peper in de keel.

Draught @ BBF 2013. Pours almost black. Aroma is light peppery and some coffee. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter, light spiciness. Not bad, not great. Medium body with soft carbonation.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hot & Spicy III. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. Black with a mocha head. Smell is sweet hick chocolate pie, thick chocolate chunks brownie’s, roasted malts & slight soy sauce. Taste is sweet brownies, chocolate chip cookies, sweet, chocolate pie, coffee, malt, chilli is only very faint in the back, almost absent which makes it seem like selling this as “Hot & Spicy” is basically overselling it even if this was a really good. Very full & creamy body.
