Bottled@The post Chriso Gaylord Tasting. Rubyish ambery brown colour with not too much head. Aroma is caramel, alcohol, some mild sugary and plummy notes as well. Flavour is plummy, alcoholic and also has some rather bitter notes. Quite fullbodied. Nice Eisbock.

Bottled (as Borefts IJsbock) at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Cloudy brownish ruby, brief beige head. Doughy, raisiny nose with strawberry esters behind. Sweet and fruity, caramelly with waming peppery alcohol. Raisiny madeira, dried out by grassy hops and some licorice. Salty prune finish where bitterness comes along late. Good without being extraordinary.

On tap at Borefts I. Hazy dark amber beer. Smooth palate, soft with a crisp edge. Semi sweet malt, very slightly porty. Hides the alcohol pretty well - comes over like a 10.0% beer. Sweet beer but not quite one of these ’Liquer Beers’.

On tap at Borefts BF 09. I like it, takes a long time to drink. It’s good, sweet and dry. Lovely Eisbock. Lovely. Good fruits, some demerara sugar and some ruby port.
