Amber with thin offwhite head; semi sweet and tart aroma with some yeasty notes; mild grainy yeasty Flava hints of roasty chocolate in the end ; feels light and somewhat flat; finishes dry hints of grassy grainy notes

My first De Molen saison. A bit difficult this one, as I felt that the taste of bananas and somewhat over sugary background goes against its saison "values". Worth while I suppose, but not one I’d buy again I think.

Bottle at home. As time goes by I’m becoming a (good) saison fan. I know not whether this a good saison, mine is not to reason why, all I can say is I liked it. Red brown orange, like a shepherds night or morning I forget which when I’m drunk, medium off white head. Aroma of peach and fruit, caramel, sweet yeasty aroma. Flavour has more fruit, some orange, little pepper, some spice in the finish. Nice one De Molen.

Pours a light amber with a really weak head and almost no lacing. Nose is of overripe bananas, candi sugar... really weird/unusual for a "saison". Taste is sweet and not saison-esque at all, fruity. This isn’t even close to being dry, carbonation was moderate and mouthfeel almost sticky. Not unpleasant but definitely not a saison.

Bottle @ Croydonia. The pour’s light amber with a small head. The nose is tart fruits, a bit of banana. Farty belgian yeast. Countryside, manure. The taste is similar. A touch of brett, peach, marshmallow. Slightly peppery. Some exotic passionfruit. Paper on the finish. Light body, fine carbonation. OK.

Medium amber with a medium, off-white, frothy, lacy, lasting head. Smells of mostly pine hops with yeast, paper and pepper. Some citrus as well. Medium oily body with medium carbonation. Some maltiness. Light sweetness at first with some fruitiness but moves to a astringent dry yeast pine peppery finish. In part I enjoyed this beer but the carbonation seemed a bit strong, it had too much yeast for my liking amen I’m not overly a fan of the pine hops. Nonetheless, it was a nice change of pace and still enjoyable enough
