3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 5, 2012
Bottle. A quite dark golden colored saison, semi transparent and topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the hoppy, citrusy and piney side. A bit sweetish on the nose and palate I think, at least for a saison. Some peppery notes, a pleasant bitterness, some pine cones and resins and some maltyness. Semi-sweet, nicely carbonated and medium bodied. Bitterness towards the end. A decent beer, but I think it’s too sweet. 120405
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Svesse (5197) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 2, 2012
(Draught at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Reddish amber colour with dense, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of caramel, orange peel, red fruit and a touch of strawberries. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, red fruit, blood orange and a generous bitterness with both citric and earthy hops. Fairly spicy finish, drier than expected. More than medium body. Interesting saison variation with some IPA leanings. Nice one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (5758) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 1, 2012
On tap at De Molen pouring sort of initially hazy with copper body and light tan head and then it cleared up after a while. The aroma is on the herbally side and then hits you with biscuit malts and sort of yeasty notes. Hmm. The taste is similar with nearly bright notes of lemon and lime and then moving into some biscuit and a bit of yeastiness. This is tasting very nice fresh from the source with tons of flavor.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 esp0r (1258) - NORWAY - APR 1, 2012
Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Deep copper, big beige head. Smells of wheat, hops, yeast esters and malts. Also some ripe fruits in the background. Taste also reveals some spices, fruitiness and some more yeast. Good sweetness, balance the palate off the dry side, finish comes with a quite aggressive hop bitterness, it’s typical american hops (and it was colombus). Medium bodied, average carbonation. Very refreshing saison.

Bottle. Dark amber with thin white head. Great nose. Very fruity. Slight caramel flavour with some spicy yeast and plenty of fruit. Strawberry, clementine(?). There’s a light bitterness to finish. It’s very nice indeed.

mouthfeel. Dry mango and caramel aftertaste with toffee and
strawberry notes. Unusual, but really nice. (0.33l bottle, wine
