330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. ABV 7.5%, 50 EBU. Amber colour, hazy when the yeast is poured in, large white head. Strong sweetish aroma, notes of saison yeast, fruit and marmalade, hints of mild spices and spruce. The carbonation seems about right. The flavour is medium sweet and hoppy (fruit and spruce) throughout, but the bitterness is not overdone. Stands forth as a very well balanced and enoyable beer.

33 cl. bottle @ home / purchased @ Hopduvel // amber with a touch of apricot / creamy off-white head, quite nice looking // floral hops & small touch fruity yeast & fruitiness on the nose// tastes initially quite fruity & sweet with caramel, apricot but goes quickly into a lingering bitter finish with herbal hops & spices, very lasting on the pallet, hard iron-rich water / old-school saison, feel & taste safe for the initial touch sweetness // fitting above medium carb. / touch yeast body / touch crisp // good saison

Draft at blue monk, buffalo. Golden orange pour. Floral hops and orange peel fill aroma. Fruity and floral notes coincide with a hefty amount of hops. Light throat burn from the hops. Saison attributes seemed a bit lost here.

Bottle in our quirky Oslo hotel. Hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Light palate, semi crisp and semi dry. Nicely balanced beer. Nice pale malt, not too sweet. Hops are a little tea like with some floral notes and bitter citrus. Semi dry finish. Very easy drinking beer.

33 cl bottle from ØlKonsortiet. Pours clear amber with a small soapy head that dies out quickly. The aroma is first off some spicy saison yeast, flowers and peppercorns, cantaloupy esters, orange peel, a bit of hay-ish farmhouse in the far back - overall very nice, sweet fruits and flowers up front. Taste is moderately yeast forward with estery fruitiness and orange notes, cereal and corn impressions from the malt and a bit of hoppy bitterness to round it off. Notes of cantaloupe, tangerine, candyfloss and a citrusy tartness in the far back. It doesn’t feel as heavy as 7,5% alcohol. Very carbonated as it should be, but the body follows through and makes the palate soft, easy-going and enjoyable. A solid, well-made, somewhat Americanized saison from one of my all-time favourite breweries.
