Fresh orange/grapefruit peel american hop aroma with some slight pine notes. Hazy golden in color with nice sudsy lasting white head. Taste is orange-creamsicle-esque with thos orange/grapefruite hops though overall quite light and refreshing. Subtley complex.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 fiulijn (10390) - Como, ITALY - SEP 6, 2011
Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö Hazy blond color; creamy head. I’m told it’s brewed with Citra hops, which doesn’t correspond to truth, according to the above description. The aroma is pungent, citrusy, but also soapy; with weizen yeast as well. The body is lighter than expected, the flavor too; there is a lemony touch and very light wheat flavor, lightly grassy too. Correct bitterness, with a rather dry and lemony final that is actually the most interesting side of this beer. Not impressive, but balanced and refreshing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 daje (538) - NORWAY - MAY 5, 2011
Bottle at Haandverkerstuene. A bit clear golden color, with big white head. Spicy aroma of wheat, banana/yeast and fruits. Strong wheat taste with spice, fruit and a tad alcohol. Strong bitter finish too.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - APR 4, 2011
After opening the bottle, the beer sprayed out like a fountain! Pineapple yellow color with a high, coarsely porous head. Smells aroma hoppy, yeasty, acidic and citrus-like. It starts with great aroma hops, its very fruity and pleasantly yeasty, citrusy acidity. The aftertaste is yeasty and sour, again with lots of aroma hops. In the further course, it gets more fruity, peach and citrus fruit in perfect harmony with the delicate aroma hops.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2011
0.33l bottle shared with ClubGonzo @ Baran, Bergen. Pours a murky golden yellow body with a big dense 2 finger-sized white head leaving big lacings. We actually had two bottles shared on three people, and I think I perhaps was a bit unfortunate in my selection of glass after the pouring was finished. Turned out that my glass had a completely different color, head, nose, body and taste than the other two glasses. Could blame the pourer whom perhaps only gave me the yeasty-bottoms of the two bottles, or a dirty glass perhaps? Anyhow, this was not all that nice. Nose starts off quite mildly with yeast and mild hops. Then the foam cools down a bit and the nose completely changes character. This time it smells wet cardboard, butter and vegetables. Really uninviting to have a sip, but hey, it can’t be that bad. Or can it...? Well, almost. Yes, it tastes cardboard and over-boiled vegetables and distinct goat, but also a lemon-like sourness, cloves and pineapple. Still, this not the best de Molen experience I’ve had. Think I need to try this once more, this time perhaps alone and a bottle that’s not "bedorven".
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ClubGonzo (1978) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 19, 2011
Bottle shared with Palme @ Baran, Bergen. Pours a hazy yellow body with a big white head. Then, something strange happens. Me, Palme and another guy (not on RB) are sharing two bottles between us. The contents of the two bottles are then distributed evenly into our glasses, and the results goes as follows: I get a pretty decent (though highly De Molen-ish) weizen bock; nose is yeasty with tones of slightly dusty, grassy hops. Taste is more yeast, with some hay and sour tones. My non-RB buddy gets a lot more DMS in the aroma, and the taste is more tainted. Palme, the poor bastard, gets a full-on lession in DMS: butter, cooked veggies AND wet cardboard all over the place; his beer is more or less undrinkable due to the omnipresent faulty brewing all around his glass. Was this *one* bad bottle? Two? One-and-a-half? I don’t know. Thus, I’ll just rate my glass, and look forward to Palme’s take on this one... ;-)
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 espenra (665) - Kurland, NORWAY - MAR 14, 2011
33cl bottle at Håndverkerstuene. I couldn’t find any dates so I’m assuming it’s the 2009 edition. Light transparent colour at first, but when reaching the bottom of the bottle the yeast sediments made it hazy. Small white head. Sharp aroma with notes of yeast, honey and smoke. Flavour is smokey with notes of pine, wood and citrus. Not good.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 madmitch76 (6193) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2011
8th May 2009 Cloudy caramel brown - orange beer with a frothy white head. Light dry palate. Yeasty and spciy start leading to fruit and herbs. Traces of banana and bubblegum. Complex but the yeast dominates a little too much.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (23961) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 27, 2010
Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a fluffy off-white head. The aroma has notes of yeast, lemon, and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, caramel, lemon, yeast, and cloves, leading to a dry wheaty finish, where a bread note appears. The mouthfeel is sparkling due to a high level of carbonation.
