Shared bottle courtesy of tarjei. Black with a fingerthick creamy brown head Roasted notes, coffee, spices, wood and garden cress among the aromas of this complex nose. Smoke, coffee, earthy notes, alcohol and ash on a roasted, acidic flavor base. A full bodied, oily, heavily carbonated delight.

Thanks to Papsoe for this bottle. It’s a very dark brown pour with reddish highlights and a long lasting tan head. The flavor is rich, creamy with notes of chocolate, nuts and hints of spices. It’s a very tasty brew.

From the bottle. Poured a dark brown with deep red along the edges. Finger’s worth of tan head. Smells of malts, coffee, and smokiness. Tastes somewhat sweet, decently bodied with fair carbonation, oily.

13-DEC-2009, bottle @Erik, brought by me. Winter beer Batch 01.01. Very very dark brown, small light brown head. Roasted, smokey, tar, no spices, where is the X-mas? Nice smoke porter, but no X-mas, so what is it with the name? Creamy, lasting hoppy bitter ending. Nice beer.

Bottle, bought @ Ĝlbutikken, Cph.
Dark, dark brown, bordering on black with a nice, small, creamy, beige head. Nice retention. Aroma has lovely dark chocolate, some cold coffee, light coriander, cloves and cinnamon. Very well intgrated spices. Medium to low carbonation, nice creamy and very dry mouthfeel. Flavour is roasted, dark chocolate, cinnamon, cloves. Long, lingering, bitter and dry mouthfeel. Really well put together, good integration of spices and roasted malts and a really good drink.
