75cl bottle into glass. Lille. Appearance: amber orange in color. Little head. Cloudy appearance. Lees suspension. Aroma: spicey rye, honey, dark fruits. Taste: sweet and slightly sour finish. Spicy notes from the rye. Palate: full body, creamy mouthfeel. Good carbonation. Overall, complex flavor. Spicy, sweet, sour. Very interesting to drink.

Bottle, 75cl, nearly 2 y.o. Pours tea with orange. Thin head that turns into some nice lacing. Aroma is sour, a bit like the aroma of Lief and Leed- not sure if this was intended, not disturbing at all but quite unexpected. No herbs, vanilla and spices in the aroma is a quite of dissapointment. Taste is very malty, caramel, sweety with caraway/herbal notes and spicy and softly sour finish. Cannot feel any vanilla. The aftertaste build of spicy feeling. Alcohol is well hidden. Very enjoyable and quite drinkable. Good but not ground-breaking stuff. A regular good job from De Molen.

Red color with small head. Aroma is very much vanilla and spices, cardamom. A bit of the caraway probably as well. Dark bread in the aroma. Taste is very spicy from the beginning. Towards the end, vanilla and sweetness. A bit confusing, I don’t know why. Too much vanilla probably...

0,5 l bottle at RBHD-gathering, Tau, Oct-2014. Clear orange body with a light brown film. Vanilla and caraway on the nose along with malty honeyish notes. Sweet, light acidic berries similar to sea buckthorn. Full bodied and alco warmth. Syrupy texture.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Cloudy orange colour, low head. Strong spicy aroma, the caraway and vanilla comes through, probably also the cardamom. Also notes of molasses and alcohol. Spicy flavour, but also some sweetish fruity notes. Kind of interesting flavour.

Shared bottle at RB/HD gathering at Tau 18.10.14. Unclear amber. Small off-white head. Orange marelade, orange peel, caraway, vanilla and vegetables in aroma and taste. Too much herbs and spices for me.

(bottle) murky amber-brown colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of brown sugar and nettles, slightly oxidized, with a hint of yeast, cardboard and cherries. flavour is mostly caramel and heavy alcohol, with some more yeast, apricots and light mango. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

750ml bottle @ the 8th Shrewsbury Bottle Share, thanks to Simon F. Pours hazy deep amber with tan head. Taste is spice, cardamom, vanilla.. beautifully blended with a little fruit to tie it all together. Great stuff.

750ml bottle shared between 4 at the Sep 2014 Shrewsbury beer exchange. Cheers Mat for this one. Pours a hazy/cloudy amber with a tan coloured head. The nose is fairly sweet with bread yeast and caramel. Sweet tasting too, with spice hints along side the caramel feel. Nice body depth and good carbonation. Got sweeter by the sip. I liked it.
