Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is super malty with some notes of hops. Barley winey. The flavour is very much Barley Winey. And very malty. Supermalty. There’s some alcohol there too.

Dark reddish brown. Almost no head. Dark overripe fruits, malts and herbs.

Cloudy brown - red beer with a small pale tan head. Smooth palate with a crispy edge from fine carbonation. Pretty sweet milky malt. Mellow cinnamon underneath. Mild minerals. The cinnamon is quite cooling in this beer. Semi dry finish. Mellow spiced beer.

Poured a deep reddish brown with a small off white head. Aroma of sweet malt and varied spices. Medium to full body, flavour is huge mixed spice (cardamon, vanilla) with sweet dark fruit and malt.

(embotellada 15/11/2011 - abierta 14/01/2014) Cerveza de color caoba, con escasa espuma marrón que aparece si se vierte en el vaso brúscamente. Olor muy fresco, a maderas e hierbas. Sabor muy complejo, principalmente dulce, a marrón glacé, café, chocolate, plátano maduro, pero sin empalagar; también es ligeramente picante, quizás sea porque lleva cardamomo. Deja muy buen sabor de boca. Una delicia que para mi gusto es preferible tomar no muy fría.

Bottled. Hazy brownish copper colour. Aroma of red roses and caramel. Sweet with sticky fudge and full body. Ginger and cinnamon, mild warming finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a very small, forced head. Aroma is floral, fruity and spicey.. Quite sweet aroma. Flavour is also sweet, mixed alcoholic and spiced. Little hop presence, overall quite a spiced up beer. Not too impressive I’d say.

Horehound and pecan nose. Cloudy brown, headless, full of fine floaties. Dates and pecans on the palate, no spices, a touch sweet. Easy carbonation, but filmy.

bottle pours clear golden amber with teenie tiny white head with little retention. nose of berries, light flowers, and honey. Taste has a solid malt base that provides support for the light spice. Honey like sweetness and mouthfeel on finish. low carbonation make this a long sipper.

Bottle bought at Barley Wine, Copenhagen, November 2012. Clear dark amber with a small head. Sweet with a lot of malt, also spices and syrup. Rather thick mouthfeel. An ok beer.
