Smaakt koffie, geroosterd, vanille. Goede bittere nasmaak. Iets teveel koffie misschien.

Bottle. Black pour with a thin brown head. Aroma of intense spicy coffee, cinnamon coffee aroma, nice roastiness. Taste is sweet, cold brewed coffee spicy and fruity flavors, slightly acrid roasty finish. Palate is full bodied yet not overly sweet, carbonation is quite thin/under carbed. Nice but lacking some depth in taste and palate.

One if the best coffee flavored beers I’ve had. Arguably better coffee flavor than Speedway, but the beer is not as strong. Not as incredible as Speedway, not as delightful as peche mortel. Feels like what it is, and has an oddly light head, and stays forever despite the abv. Bottled over two years ago, full body, smooth, not the best put there but dawn good

Poured into a snifter. Black coffee colour with a small off white lacing. Strong aroma of coffee beans. Initial taste is coffee and then quite a big bitterness.

Very dark brown body with a tiny, frothy head consisting of a few big, light brown bubbles. The bubbles disappear quite fast, and little lacing is left on the glass. The aroma malty, roasted, strong and very dominated by dry bitter coffee and old Thermos®. Some sweet vinous notes in the back. Also strong flavours of dry coffee, and not much else. Moderate sweet taste and a long-lasting heavy bitter finish. The body is full, the texture is oily but with a dry finish, the carbonation is very soft. A good one, although a bit to focused on the coffee. And I spent the evening reading about the horrible condition under which civets are held. Never going to buy another kopi luwak beer again.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 1 year after bottling, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]
