Bottle dated 18/04/12. Black pour with a very thick tan head. Aroma is straight up coffee. Taste is Coffee and chocolate. Sort of like a mocha frappachino with an extra shot in it. Or bcbcs with out the bourbon. Coffee really held up after 4 years. Good stuff.

bottled dated Apr 18, 2012 and drank on Jan 31, 2013 - Pours black with a huge tan head. Chocolate leads the aroma, then coffee. It has a delicious sweet mocha flavor with roasted malt bitterness that lingers. Full bodied and very enjoyable. Superbly made.

Botella.

Wysycenie niskie. Całość dość oleista. Aromat: mieszanka kawy, czekolady i ciemnych słodów z lekką kwaskowością. Ostatnia szansa...

Bottle shared at Herr Schmitt’s gaff. Big thanks to Leighton. Aroma is big earthy nutty veg roast coffee bean. Some green pepper in the nose. Black dark crown colour pour with a lasting tan head. Flavour is smooth roast coffee, coffee beans, earthy with a touch of manure. Really nice smooth creamy palate. Lingering choc and earthy coffee.

Bottle shard at Garbage Night II - London. Pours deep brown-black with a thick, tight beige cream head. The nose has definite coffee, some burnt grounds, chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of chocolate cake, coffee ice cream, dark bread, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fairly lively carbonation. Impressively mild alcohol presence to finish, lots more sugary coffee and milk chocolate, slight earthy bitterness. Very tasty and drinkable.

Bottle at Leighton. It pours near black with a thick tan head. The nose is cocoa, toasty, coffee, roasted malt, rocky road, light spice and light orange peel. The taste is rich roast, coffee, earth, dirt, toast, chocolate, mild bitterness, faint bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Alright, pretty soft and rounded. I’m still not a massive fan of kopi, but hey ho...

Poured from bottle. Clear dark brown, small beige head. Aroma: peppery, coffee. Medium sweet with some soure tones. Full body, oily texture, warming alcohol, low carbonation. Nice winter beer.

JBPortland (747) - Portland, Maine, USA - MAR 2, 2014
12oz bottle dated 4/12 pours inky brown black with huge 3 finger head, appears over-carbonated. Nose is roasty nutty coffee and cream, sone subtle dark fruits. Taste is earthy dark fruits and coffee, some subtle berry, bitter roastiness. Finish is bitter coffee, subtle fruitiness, roasty nuts and earthy dark chocolate, some sweet hershey syrup notes. A bit thin. Definitely over-carbed which gives it a soda like aspect. Just ok.
