One if the best coffee flavored beers Iíve had. Arguably better coffee flavor than Speedway, but the beer is not as strong. Not as incredible as Speedway, not as delightful as peche mortel. Feels like what it is, and has an oddly light head, and stays forever despite the abv. Bottled over two years ago, full body, smooth, not the best put there but dawn good

Poured into a snifter. Black coffee colour with a small off white lacing. Strong aroma of coffee beans. Initial taste is coffee and then quite a big bitterness.

Very dark brown body with a tiny, frothy head consisting of a few big, light brown bubbles. The bubbles disappear quite fast, and little lacing is left on the glass. The aroma malty, roasted, strong and very dominated by dry bitter coffee and old Thermosģ. Some sweet vinous notes in the back. Also strong flavours of dry coffee, and not much else. Moderate sweet taste and a long-lasting heavy bitter finish. The body is full, the texture is oily but with a dry finish, the carbonation is very soft. A good one, although a bit to focused on the coffee. And I spent the evening reading about the horrible condition under which civets are held. Never going to buy another kopi luwak beer again.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 1 year after bottling, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]

Pours dark brown/black from a 330 mL bottle. Generous beige head. There is coffee on the nose as promised, but also raisin, prune, dried fruit, molasses, and spices. The flavour delivers what the nose promises with well polished hops taking the edge off the sweetness and giving it a crisp aftertaste. Awesome entry from De Molen.

Pitch black with no head. Hoppy, some coffee. A bit to simple and earthy for my taste.

Bottled : Dull black body ,lacking the beige head that dies too soon. Coffee is obvious like big tits on an attention seeker - with toffee. .tart dark fruit too ..: An abbundance of coffee essence . notes of toffee. coffee bean. rich roast . dark chocolate . A good .roasted dry kinda smooth bitterness ; more coffee more coffee cofeee cofffffffffffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Black as black can be. No head on mine. Thatís odd but not putting me off one bit. Itís quite sticky and viscous, sweet and oakey. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the malt. Smooth and potent and I guess thatís also caffeine giving me a buzz.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolate and light earthiness. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt with a smooth lingering chocolate coffee finish.

Bottle. Massive chocolate/coffee nose, lots of sweet dark fruit, berries, raw meat, some fumes. Pitch black, with a constant one-finger dark tan head. Great coffee initial, smooth and sweet chocolate in mid palate, creamy and delicious. Medium-heavy body. A great stout. The coffee is always present but does not overwhelm. Not overboiled or scorched. Smooth and thick.
