Bottled. A pitch black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and a bit of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, chocolate, malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry, coffee, chocolate, and alcoholic finish.

Bottled@Konttori, Tampere. Pitch black colour, big beigeish brown head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, mild toffee and some slight alcohol as well. Flavour is quite much the same in a pleasant harmony. I recall the former Kopi Loewak was more peppery and burning than this. So for being stronger than the former one, I think the malt base has been quite changed as well.

Opaque black beer, good tan head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Slightly woody dark malt. A little licorice. Rich coffee with some cream. Mild tangy fruit. Finishes dry with a bitter coffee aftertaste. Nice. Seems more flavoursome than the lower abv version.

Black color, with generous, brownish, compact head. Aroma of coffee, sugar floss, chili pepper and black pepper, and a trace of ash. Good body; the relatively low carbonation allows the mouthfeel to be soft; strong coffee flavor, with some caramel too; nice peppery note; but overall the feeling of roasted and burnt beans or grains is too much for me; the coffeish and pepper touch mingle well with the high alcohol content, creating a tickling feeling on the tongue. Good, peculiar.
