3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle and served in my Iechyd Da snifter: Pours a deep brown with an initial big tan head but that fades quickly and left minimal lacework upon the glassware. The aroma smacks of coffee, roast, toast, chocolate, walnuts, char, and tobacco malt notes along with a moderate helping of grassy and herbal hops. The taste follows suit with dominate coffee overtones supported by sweet and roasted malts. Some noble hop and alpha hop character along with a dash of cavendish pipe tobacco. The mouth feel is lively and ashy, a bit thin but that is expected with the majority of coffee stouts. Overall a very nice brew but an utter waste of a rare coffee just to make a statement. Any solid single origin coffee would have work just as well, perhaps or likely better.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ home. Pours deep brown-black with a thick, tight beige cream head. The nose has definite coffee, some burnt grounds, chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of chocolate cake, coffee ice cream, dark bread, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fairly lively carbonation. Impressively mild alcohol presence to finish, lots more sugary coffee and milk chocolate, slight earthy bitterness.

BOTTLE 33 CL from dcmchew. BOTTLED 24-JAN-2013.
Coffee leftovers with some weird stale semi-fermented notes, some black malt sweetness in the background. Not much sweetness, fruitiness or real roast. The aftertaste is plain manure. The nastiest stout I ever had.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0,33l fles volgens mij bij vonk Zaandam vandaan. Diep zwart zonder noemenswaardige schuimkraag. Wat een intense geur en smaakbeleving geroosterde en gerookte mout maar daarbovenuit de extreem volle kopi loewak koffie met een diepe bitter, zure afdronk die mintuten je mond blijft vullen. erg bijzonder.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle from Roybeer, Milan. Pours black with a thin beige creamy head, way less than I was expecting. Quite strange for a stout. Aroma is roasted malts, peat, chocolate liquor, some dried fruit, light coffee. Taste is similar with the best coffee aftertaste I ever experienced in a beer. Thick oily mouthfeel, low carbonation, medium to full body. Excellent.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle in beergeek with cam and pavel. had it on the way to 100. pours jet black with a small tan head. smells of coffee, chocolate, raisins, burnt toffee. taste delivers what the aroma promised. coffee right away, moving to the sweeter choco, then a bitter hoppy finish. more complex and bitter than the espresso stout. maybe it was a bit too much for me. really great for what it is though
