4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - NOV 5, 2009
Tap @ 1st BBF, de Molen. Bottled@ home. The bottle I tried at home is very explosive, but no beer will spoil (luckily, as the bottled are too small). Aroma has chocolate, lots of coffee beans and some fruitiness. Pitch black coloured beer with a beige, lasting head. The taste is bitter, sweet, has much coffee, some chocolate, dried fruits. The coffee taste is lingering and changing. Superb quality beer.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 thewolf (8631) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2009
Tap @ 1st BBF, De Molen.
Pours utterly black with a very nice, staying, creamy beige head. Brilliant looks. Aroma has a super amazing coffee note, some blackberries (the others said black currants... I disagree). Cold coffee character mixed with light roasted notes and dark chocolate. Soft carbonation, lovely dry mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of coffee, yet still not too much. Roasted, chocolate, grainy. Super-long coffee finish with no lingering bitterness from coffee, just a hint of flowery hops. Impressive.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - NOV 1, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2009 Tap @ 1st BBF De Molen. Fresh milled coffee aroma with hints of dark chocolate. Malty sweet flavor, velvety but drenched with coffee. Also a fresh milled mocha coffee bitterness. A dry out effect in the long aftertaste is clearly noticeable. This beer is all about a high quality coffee: you can smell it, you can taste it.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Borresteijn (2757) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 31, 2009
On tap at Borefts Bier Festival, De Molen. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of pure ground coffee and coffee residue, bitter hops and moccha. Flavour is dominated by the (old) coffee taste, lots of bitterness and some moccha. Too much coffee for me. Medium to fullbodied.
