Aroma is light heavy malty, dark roasted, roasted, coffee, dusty coffe, coffee filter when making good coffee in the morning ;O) Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration. This beer is all about a high quality coffee, both in aroma and flavor. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091030]

Bottlled. An unclear brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has strong notes of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic and coffee finish. Thanks fonefan and yespr for sharing.

Bottle 18 cl. Courtesy of yespr/fonefan - bottle # 600. Pours a cloudy and opaque brown with an orange brown and a small beige head. Distinct coffee aroma - like dipping your nose in the funnel. Solid body, hard roasted malt - very burned - with an ashy edge. Some malt bitterness. Nice. 141109

18 cL bottle, huge thanks to fonefan for bringing this and other rare brews from De Molen. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is solid coffee aroma, light herbal. Sweet malty and coffeeish flavoured. Light chocolate note and sweet malty. Vague bitterness and roasted acidity from the coffee. Nice roasted coffee flavoured into a smooth and roasted finish. Fantastic for a coffee geek like me.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 omhper (15958) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2010
Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Cloudy dark brown, small head. Rich coffee aroma. Fairly sweet and only lightly roasty with some odd tartness and medium body. Coffee is prominent, but comes across as a bit chemicalor medicinal. Together with the odd tartness it really only works halfways.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 14, 2009
Bottle, 9.5%. Mild coffee aroma, like ground coffee beans after water has run through it. Cloudy very dark brown colour. Small stable brown head. The flavour is nicely sweet, there is some coffee, first in the flavour, later in the aftertaste. First it is a little like coffee with cocoa and perhaps cream, later it tastes like fresh-ground coffee.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 fiulijn (10390) - Como, ITALY - MAR 2, 2010
Brewed April 2009 Small but nasty bottle: as soon as the cap it’s removed, it ejaculates half of the content around the room. Left for the glass, there is a small quantity of black liquid, cloudy, with a huge frothy head. Dusty aroma of coffee and dirty water, cardboard, and obviously of yeast. Strong body, good flavor of roasted malt (coffee?), with a round mouthfeel; the final is all dedicated to the coffee. All along the experience, there is enough sweetness to balance the roasted flavors; I would have appreciated it much more without the fireworks.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 KimJohansen (10340) - Copenhagen V, DENMARK - NOV 14, 2009
Dark brown with a tiny beige head. Sweet aroma with loads of coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Sweet flavour with hard roasted malt, loads of coffee, dark bitter chocolate and warming alcohol towards the finish. Good balanced.
