4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black with minimum head. Aroma is dominated by red berries and oak. Great mouthfeel. Tingling sweet taste, a little smokiness and a bit boozy finish. Great beer from my favorite brewery!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
33cl bottle. It pours a deep brown almost black body with a minuscule brown head thy dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet upfront with red berries licorice coffe, port wine, vanilla. Then some woody smokiness comes through nicely. Taste is similarly well balanced between the bourbon sweet notes and ashy smokey notes. Mouthfeel is bold with good carboantion. Overall, one of the way smoked stouts I’ve head.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle with thanks to Ben! Pours opaque black with a small brown head that dissipates quickly to a ring of foam with decent lacing. Aroma is a bit tart and woody, roasted malts, smoke, cocoa, vanilla. Flavor is light tart, lightly smokey, woody, chocolate, not really bourbon per se. Light sweet, medium bitter, some astringence. Finishing lightly tart and lingering bitter. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, fairly hot with heat lingering long into the far finish. Kinda flat. Nice effort; not sure if the tartness is an infection or brewer intent, but it is pleasant enough either way.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with low head. Nose is intense and complex on dark chocolate, round caramel, vanilla, wood, leather, prune, vinous on the red side, spicy, excellent.
Aroma is amazing, sweet creamy it starts with a round and buttery caramel goes through vanilla to reach a spicy and dark chocolate zone. Then prune and grapes notes arrives, wood again with light soy sauce, vinous dry pinot noir hints, creamy / oily body. Finish is again nice on wood and light peated touch, extremely well done beer, complex and easy drinking !
