Draught. Smoked aroma, some coffee. Black colour. Small stable dark brown head. The flavour starts off creamy, then comes a sweetish coffee note. Ending with more coffee and a good warming alcohol note. Mild smokiness in the background.

Draft @ de Molen on the terrace. Black opaque colour without any light shining trough. Small, creamy tanned head with aroma of coffee, wine, whisky and roastiness. Flavour has a dry red wine taste to it, with some sugary coffee and loads of sweetness. Really nice sipper. Full alcoholic flavour adds to the palate.

Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Black beer with a rich lasting brownish head. Whisky aroma, oak, vanilla, tar, dark chocolate, grassy, peat. Whisky flavor, alcohol, chocolate, tar, vinous notes. A bit too much alcohol and the whisky is a bit too obvious.

Deep black colour, firm tan head. Aroma of red wine, whisky, roasted malts, coffee, plums, chocolate, oak and vanilla. Rather sweet flavour, slightly bitter, malts, black coffee bitterness. Balanced whisky, red wine, dried red fruits and oak finish.
Balanced, smooth and intense. Quite lovely. The whisky and Bordeaux barrels come out nicely.

At HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Black colour, moderate tan head. Strong aroma of whisky (bourbon?) oak barrel and vanilla. Roasty notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Malty sweet flavour, bourbon, oak and vanilla, coffee, caramel and dark chocolate. Excellent beer.

Black, brown head, nice laces. Smells of coffee, roasted malts, some oak and barrel. Super malty taste, full heavy sweetness, full body, soft carbonation, extremely smooth feel, just fantastic. Nice bitter finish. This was one of the surprises for me this evening

Very dark colour with a beige head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Rich taste, but still mild and very drinkable. Coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and mild fruity.
