4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A black beer with a weak and beige head. The nose is strongly roasted, sweet berries, coffee and some barrel. Rich of taste, balanced sweetness and roastiness, coffee, some port wine like fruitness, some drying bitterness in the end, but still quite sweet. Almost full bodied, low carbonation and slightly sticky to drink, overally the rich palate. Sweet, but still balanced and pleasant beer, riped fruits makes this beer more interesting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Almost no head, rust-coloured rim over virtually black beer. Alcohol, wood, chocolate, mushrooms, meaty. Don’t get the smoke in the nose; mainly suggesting sweetness. Dry-bitterish at first; ashy rather than smoked. In the finish gradually much more sweetness, combined with alcohol. Sharpish-roasted character; ketjap manis, hint at parsley. Medium bodied at least, oily-slick, alcoholwarming. Good, if a bit undefined. The alcoholoverload remains, all things considered, dangerously hidden.

few sips shared with beer buddy
Color seems black with tan brown small top, aroma - surprisingly wooden, bit sour with gentle touch of not so many roast as chocolate darkness. Smooth malty sweetish, min sour berries, bitter dark malt. Very mild, soft palate. Good balance.Interesting one, wish to repeat more sips.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Greatest surprise of beer evening. Love this imp. Heavy roasted malts, but not too much. Intense chocolate, but not too much, caramel, dried fruits, decent hops, oaky, raisins, nice warming whiskey presence, vinous . Very smooth and creamy
Great balance, awesome brew.
Downrated aroma from 9 to 8 - nose not so intense

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Spurs - Tromsø - Europa League elite tasting September 2013, Christian Eriksen wondergoal celebration and last of the evening. Near black with a small tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, chocolate, oak and bourbon. Sweet and intense flavour of chocolate, roast malt, oak and bourbon, Doesn’t have the smoothness and intensity of the benchmark BCS, but it’s doing alright
