330ml brown bottle. Unclear orange pour, big white head. Patchy lacing on the glass. Nose is fruity, hoppy. Scents of assorted citrus (pith, rind, flesh, whatever, it’s all there) orange and grapefruit are dominant, whiffs of pine and candyish sweetness as well. Quite fresh smelling, this was bottled on 22/02/2012, its very aromatic. taste has a caramel malt base, citrusy hops, light sweetness. Finishes medium hoppy, grapefruit is there in there aftertaste, some orange peels too. Medium bodied, even carboantion. Good depth, hops work well here. All around impressive IPA.

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of green mango, caramel and biscuit. Flavour of blood orange, grapefruit and wood. Medium body with an oily texture. Weak fizz. Not a hop bomb, but a well made, well balanced IPA.

Beautiful and a typical De Molen-style IPA. Not that hoppy really, but balanced and with marked notes of fruit and quite complex.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma of hops, malts, light sweetness, peach, tropical. Taste is grape, light peach, light malt sweetness, orange peel, notes of pine, some hops which I’m not familiar with, but works good in this beer. Bitter hoppy finish, which could use some dry hopburn. But all in all, the best IPA I’ve had from de molen.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange colour, moderate head. Well lacing. Aroma of resin, citrus, honey, herbs. Medium to full body. The flavour is solid combining caky malts with resiny & citric hops (lots of). Even more hops in ending. A good one

Lekker bier! Lekker goudkleurige en fris. Nodigt uit voor nieuwe slok. Moet koud gedronken worden en lekker in de zomer vanwege zachte smaak. Heel licht bitter.
