33cl bottle at home. Pale reddish brown with no head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Very present sourness with some fruity sweetness. Apple, cherry, tart, vinegar and herbs. A nice sour brew, although I liked the regular Lief & Leed a tad more.

330 ml bottle. Bottled on June 1st 2012. From some webshop.
Hazy dark red brown colour with no head. Red berries, tartness, sourness, some cherry notes and vinegar in the aroma. The flavour is sourness, tartness, red berries and vinegar. Thin and watery. No carbonation whatsoever.

Pours hazy orangish brown, no head. Aroma is sour and a bit musty. This is not as sour as the regular Lief & Leed, and also more bitter. I don’t get the cherries at all. As with the regular Lief & Leed, this would benefit from being a bit more lively.

Top half of the bottle is clear; bottom half (which went into another glass) has more particulate matter. Slightly warmer, richer red than the regular L&L. Very little carbonation. Strong aroma of cherries, not so strongly sour. This doesn’t have anywhere near the punch of the regular L&L; pleasantly fruity-sour, with undertones of cherries, but not jawdclenching. Palate is a bit watery due to lack of carbonation. Still good, but not as special as I’d’ve expected.

Rötlich-bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit sehr wenig Schaum. Geruch säuerlich fruchtig, reife Kirschen. Geschmack nach sauren Kirschen, Rotwein, holzig, reife Früchte.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy ruby amber colour, no head. Aroma of Brettanomyces, paper, faded cinnamon, hint of the promised cherries, red wine. Aroma is quite sour, acetic, red wine, some funk, sour lemon finish. Light-bodied, no carbonation. I prefer the base beer.

Bottled 330ml Tnx Edo. Bottled 06/2012. Murky pinky deep red color, no head. Tart cherries in the nose and "cherry stones" with light notes of barnyard. Light bodied. Very tart with mouthwatering cherry flavor. Fruity, although a bit empty finish but very nice kriekish tartness.

Bottle split at JF’s, thanks to Joris for trading me this number, 23/08/13. Hazed dark golden amber with reddish hues and avery little if any head at all. Nose is musty, damp wood, tarte cherries, light smoke, soured berry fruits. Taste comprises dank wood, tarte cherries, straw, light smoke. Medium bodied, dry and tangy fruity tarte finish. Nice sour, fairly simple but tasty.
