Pours a golden red with absolutely no head or sign of carbonation. Aroma is barnyard funk, cherries, hint of leather and fig. Smooth on the palate, perfect balance of sweet and sour. Taste is sour black cherries, red currants, fig, cranberry. Delicious.

Almost flat amber pour with minimal bubbles. Plenty of cherry aroma, a moderate sourness, some light malt sweetness, and a hint of red wine vinegar. Hints of grass, a bit of leather, and maybe some balsamic notes. The cherry flavor is a bit less impressive than the aroma. Plenty of balsamic and red wine vinegar notes, oak, grass, and a light tannic quality.

33 cl. bottle shared with Belgbeergeek & Vincent @ hotel room. Opaque red amber with almost no head. Smells like sweet tart cherries, medium vinegar, berries, light clean wood, defiantly way more cleared out than the original. Sour lightly tart cherries with some sweeter cherries blended in, light malt, tad vinegar, touch spices, light wood, minor touch herb. Way better than the regular, the cherries have not only cleared it out a bit but appear to complete the beer - like they always should have been there. Quite neat stuff.

Bottle in Fonefan room Borefts 4. Hazy amber colour thin ring of bubbles. Cherry aroma. Cherries are pretty good in mouth. Some sourness. I liked the cherries.

Copper red body with no head at all... Tiny bubbles are visible. Strong apple vinegar notes, some red berries, clean yeast, very little residual sugars. Some sweetness returns when warming up. Taste is actually more moderate in sourness. Unformatenatly the aging with cherries, although bringing some fruit hints, made the beer a bit thinner which is what I like so much about the ’normal’ Lief & Leed. Still great stuff though. (After Boreft 2012’s Friday)

33cl, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2012, with cherries, from De Bierkoning Amsterdam, complex sour fruit brew, malty/sour and slightly fruity/woody, yet not balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, nice brew, yet expensive!

On tap at HaandFestival 2012. It pours an almost clear, amber body, lacking head and carbonation. Caramel, some vinegar and some wood on the nose, not as much cherries as I’d expect. That goes for the flavor too, which is a bit on the weak side, with the same vinegar and wood found in the aroma. Lacking the pepper I enjoyed so much in the un-cherried edition. Medium to full body, tart and flat, finishing with vinegar notes. Overall, rather boring, I certainly prefer the regular edition. 120504
