gEUS (1471) - Linden, BELGIUM - APR 15, 2015
750 ml bottle at home - bottle 310/312, bottled Feb. 24th 2010 - 5 years+ old. Pours dark amber with a steady mid off-white head. The hops are still vibrant in this one, wauw. The beer has clearly evolved over the years, but the soft resin and raisin alike characteristics in the aroma have kept up very well. True De Molen quality here imo. Sweet full body with loads of mellow stewed fruit notes, and some pungeant bitterness by the end. Taste is even a bit of smoke, together with loads of sweet raisins and dates, stewed peaches and all of that good stuff. Pure delish!!!
