From tap@CBF 2010. A tan big-bubbled head upon a cloudy, dark brown colored body. Light sweet, biscuity malts up front, offset by a scent of minty, grassy and light citrus-fruity hops. Bitter-sweet flavor. Fruity and lightly spiced bitterness. Toasty malts with notes of bread crust and cookies. Feels lighter than the abv indicate. Smooth in the mouth. Lasting malty and hop bitter finish. Good stuff, dangerously easy to drink.

Unclear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy to fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus, fruity - dried fruit, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100507]

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2010 Draft @ De Molen. Deep thick grayish brown pour, medium brown head. Aroma is full of different fruity hops, orange, grapefruit, spruce/pine and spelt. Also some roasted malt, coffee and smoke. Flavour is very intense with a hop and coffee bitterness, sidenote of pine and smoke. Flavour clings on and doesn’t let go. Very intense, awesome beer. Had the bottle as well (tfs Vaiz!) which had more cheesy, sweaty hops it seemed, gave it .2 points lower in rating.

skortila (4749) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAY 18, 2010
On tap @ CBF 2010 & bottle shared with Noize. The aroma has little flowery hops, some fruity malts, sweetness. Hazy, dark brown coloured beer with a good head. The taste is a bit sweet, siruppy and becomes more bitter towards the finish. Lots of hops present, aprikot, malts. Nice one.

Rune (8944) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 13, 2010
Draught. Unclear dark-brown with a bubbly head. Aroma of floral hops joined by mid-sweet malts. Pine-like hops in flavour sustained by dried fruits, sweet malts and warming alcohol. Long-lived bitter tail, which perhaps was the best part of this dark IPA (Købnhavnske Øldage, 06.05.2010).
