Malty smell. Quite dark brown color, but not black. First taste is bitter, rest is mostly malty and a bit sweet. Somewhat bread like aroma. Quite nice, but not super awesome. I definitely could consider this a side food.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Barrelbelly (504) - BELGIUM - MAR 20, 2011
Pours black with some red shine. Large head that stays. Aroma a bit sour combined with roasted malts and some bitter hops. Taste starts smoked/roasted and finished quite rapidly with a bitter aftertaste. Not much of a palate which makes this beer not so interesting.

Bottle courtesy of darkguardian. Talk about a gusher, Holy Toledo. Tons of yeast sediment. Thin, watery, and bitter. Not my thing at all..

Bottle (dregs)… Murky brown ale with no head. The aromatics provide understated notes of cocoa, toffee, vanilla and worn leather. Medium-bodied and milky with only trace carbonation. Well-balanced and very flavorful for a small beer – nuances of tree nuts, chocolate and toffee. Finishes fairly crisp and lightly bitter. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Pleasant sour aroma. Taste is very fresh and has chocolate in a way reminiscent of a cocoa drink. A lot of good taste for such a low ammount of alcohol

Draught at Monks Porterhouse, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy dark brown colour with a creamy off-white head. Mild aroma of milky chocolate and cocoa in the aroma. Light-bodied with with touches of roasted malts, nuts, cocoa-powder and currant-leaves. Thin and rather lifeless mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of cocoa and currant-leaves. Quite an average offering from the Molen.
