Bottle enjoyed at home
Pours deep red and builds up the most amazing head you can imagine. Totally massive. Falls down to cm layer that you can increase to the double again with a litte glass twirl. Smells of ripe fruits, caramel, apple and malts. Full malt body with no sweetness at all. Fruity heavy flavors apply all over. Oily and dry on the palate. Nice hoppy bitterness with some resins

Bottle. Reddy orange with foamy white head. A fruity beer with a clear alcohol presence. Berries and bubblegum with a bitter finish. Itís not really very well balanced. The flavours are cobbled together.

Bottle 23/06/11. A very lively pour resulting in a dark amber beer with a big foamy slightly off-white head. Medium body. Big sweet biscuity aroma, with dark fruits - prunes mainly - coming through too. The biscuit, dark fruits are there as well as caramel, a touch of citrus and a nice smooth boozy bitter hit. Good.

33cl bottle Edeka Mohr, Bonn 02/2014. Bottled 11/2012. Pours a very cloudy wooden mauve once yeast is poured in. Boozy fig marmelade nose. Aroma of fallen autumn leaves, maroni, mushroom. Higher bitterness in the taste than expected, making this even more medicinal-woody. Belgian yeastiness and carbonation. Lingering yeast-hoppy finish. Overall blunt mix of prime old flavours.

Slightly chilled bottle. Two years and one day old. Dark orange/red with the usual huge head which endures. Smell - old ale, caramel, yeast, molasses, tangerine. Carbonation - mid to soft. Taste - typical De Molen caramel, liquorice, sweet honey flavours with a decent dose of bitterness. Enjoyable high quality beer. Not quite to my taste though, which reduces the rating slightly.

TET (1641) - FINLAND - APR 27, 2012
A dark brown beer with a big, lasting and beige head. Aroma is caramelly and sweet, berries, strawberries, "wet wood", surprisingly "berryjuice" like aroma. Taste is toffeeish and malty, sweet berries, after beginning taste turns into dryer and wooden hoppyness takes place, dark fruits, aftertaste is tight and slightly biting. Medium+ bodied, nice and style like drinkability. Aftertaste isnít very nice, otherwise, berry, quite unique and interesting beer.

worldbeertaste (1635) - AUSTRIA - MAY 15, 2013
Hazy brownish amber with a thick, frothy, beige, nice thick lasting head. Smells of toasted malt, pepper, caramel, medium fruit - berries and peach, orange - citrus, and spiced hops. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Deep malty sweetness with dried fruit and caramel with a honey fruity middle and a dry, dark fruit finish. Very sweet and a light fruity bitterness.

Draft at Monks. Cloudy amber pour with a pillowy white top. Sweet grassy notes off the top. Earthy floral flavors. Wildflower honey. Interesting mix of amber fruit, brown fruit and bright herbs. Spicy bite as well. I like it. Maybe having it a bit too cold. Still feels nothing like an ESB.
