abemorsten (1875) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - NOV 26, 2011
33 cl bottle from Vika Vinmonopol. Muddy, murky orange with a gelatinous, beige head, three fingers thick. Good lacing. Caramel malty and floral nose with hints of old wooden cupboard. Full bodied and boozy, bitter and biscuit sweet. Grows a little in the mouth with a thick, foamy mouth feel. Long and pleasantly bitter finish.

Idiosynkrasie (1844) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2012
330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy reddish amber colour with huge, firm, frothy to creamy, lacing, white to off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet toasted malty and minimally grainy, with some bitter hop emanating from the huge head, decent hints of dark fruit and chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet toasted malty, grainy, dark fruity notes transform to a chocolately touch. Sticky finish. Not to its disadvantage more lively carbonated than an "English" English Strong Ale.

Martinus (1792) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 1, 2013
Hazy brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of cheese and malts. Light bitter flavour, hops, and quite a bit of off-flavours, fusel oils and medicine. Finish light hops and cheese.
Not sure what was the matter with this bottle, but it wasn’t really pleasurable I’m afraid. Might warrant a re-rate.
(From 33cL bottle at the DMT @ Tim’s living, Gent. Shared by sebletitje. Thanks, Seba!)

_angst_ (1745) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 1, 2012
330 ml bottle bought @ Bierzwerg.de. Pours hazy amber with a big frothy off-white head that clings to the glass and leaves some lacing on it while slowly dissipating. Smell is sweet with sweet fruits like plums and raisins, caramel, alcohol and some hints of peaches and citrus. Taste is malty, bitter and slightly metallic with minerals, resin, dandelions and pine. Finish is dry and very bitter. Weird one this one, not sure what I think…
