3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle@home. Deep brown, with a small, tan, lacing head. Aroma of molasses, honey, cocoa, caramel, hops, hints of dark fruits. Medium dense but on the lighter side, fairly carbonated. Sweet taste, somewhat roasty, with slightly bitter, dry, almost tarty finish. No real taste of alcohol. Nothing fancy, but a solid, good brew.

At WVRST. January 28, 2014. Bit of sourness on the nose and in the flavour. Flavours of tart cherries, toffee and caramel. Very dark beer with nice head. Very drinkable. Quite a lovely beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle, pours black with a small off white head, aroma is milk chocolate, cherry, fig & prune, body is full and creamy, finish is balanced with fruit flavours and a medium & crisp bitterness. Carbonation average to low. Is this a Belgian strong? It’s a very Imperial Stout like Belgian strong. Very good though.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2014 Bottle, 2011. Very deep aromas with a lot of sweetness and dark fruits, really good. Sweet taste but with hops coming through along the way. It is quite refreshing for a 10 abv. with a good balance but also a slightly vinous dryness.

330 ml bottle at home. Pours clear medium brown with an amber hue. Nose of roasted malts, nuts and raisins (little bit of evolution after one year). Medium body, malty sweetnes and taste of milk chocolate, some soy sauce and forest notes.

Pours like flat coke, no head at all on this bottle. Taste is dark chocolate, very ripe fruit, bread dough. Almost feel as if I should warm this up in the oven. Syrupy thick palate and the last word is a coffee bitterness that balances out the initial sweetness.
