Enjoyed on 3/12/11 in a Pint glass. Pure black, dark amber lights on sides. Foam dense, coffe&milk color neither much creamy nor persistent as expected. No lacing shown. Complex aroma, toasted notes & dry nuts. Intense toasted malt & cocoa hints hidden by dry bitterness & excesive carbonation. Little fat in mouth. I felt quite dissapointed in the overall, ´cause if a Brw knows how to perform a perfect Russian... for sure De Molen does, unfortunately not in Mooi case.

Clear deep ruby red. Caramel and dark fruits in the inviting aroma. Sweet, roasted and bitter flavors. The drink grows unpleasantly in the mouth. Full bodied. Oily texture with a dry finish.

75 cl. bottle:
First of all: be careful when you open this one; the pressure in the bottle might turn the cork into a deadly missile. Second: it’s a real gusher; I left the bottle standing the kitchen sink for several minutes while the foam just kept coming.
Colour is dark brown, the head is large. Malty aroma with notes of dark, bitter chocolate and alcohol. Flavour is more malt and dark chocolate with a little bit of marzipan. Alcohol bitter finish.
