330ml bottle bought at Barley Wine in Copenhagen. Fluffy, brownish head that lasts all the way. Pitch black body with a brown tint. Cocoa and chocolate to the nose. Fine taste profile starting with chocolate malts and followed by dark spiced and ending with bitter fruits. Feels good in the mouth and on the swallow (shared with Finn, Tromsø 17.11.2010).

33 cl bottle. Hazy chestnut color, huge beige head with good retention. Aroma of walnuts, snuff, nutmeg. Taste is chocolate covered prunes, raisins, tobacco. Rich, thick and complex. An od but interesting combo of flavors.

Bottle. Very high and long lasting lasting off-white head. Clear very dark brown body. Missed a lot of beer when I poured it. Spicy roasted malt aroma whith cocoa and caramel. Heavily caronated sour berries spicy cocoa roasted malt flavor with a long bitter aftertaste. Odd.

Bottle. Pours very dark reddish brown with a huge fluffy tan head that lasts ages. Aroma is sweet and spicy with notes of caramel, vanilla, dark grapes, cinnamon, raisins and dates. Flavour is pretty much the same with the emphasis on the spices and dark fruits plus a hint of aniseed. Alcohol is very well hidden. Medium bodied with lots of tingly carbonation and a lingering spicy, bittersweet finish. Very good, complex example of a strong Belgian dark ale, maybe a little heavy on the spice but otherwise a great brew.

Deep, dark and complex. More dark fruityness than chocolatey / coffeey, but delivered with style - smooth and rich, with a clean linger
