Pitch black pour with a very thin tan head that is slow to rise to the surface. Smells like dark cherries, almonds and roasted malts. Taste like dark chocolate, roasted malts, bitter cherries and a bit of coffee, as well as bitter hops. Smooth mouthfeel, flat and very bitter aftertaste.

Since special beers are getting quiet fashionable these days, this beer is avaible at the local Albert Heijn grocery store. Dark, no foam. Long aftertaste. After a week of no beers this tasted like heaven. My absolute number one.

Bottle from Pivoteka, shared with Hrabren, Višnja and Goran. Poured a blackish brown body tinged with amber, off white head. Small white head. Taste... Alcohol, caramel, licorice?, raisins, toasty. Taste... Tons of caramel again, huge alcohol, almost burning, but generally fresh, slightly roasty. Interesting, but too rough for me. Funny... they call it Imperial Stout-ish if I remember correctly, not a Belgian Strong. Good, but didn’t thrill me.

0.33 l bottle from Pivoteka Zagreb. Shared with Vi?nja and Goran and Marko. Dark brown, almost black with reddish tint, lots of brown sediment. Small tan head. Red fruits, dry fruits, caramel, wine, alcohol, chocolate. Alcohol bite, roasty, a bit empty. Could have more body and less alcohol. Sweet, roasty finish with hints of dry fruits.

butelka, warka z 10/04/2015. Bardzo ciemne, z niezla piana. aromaty to glownie melasa, karmel, ciemne owoce suszone (rodzynki, sliwki), czekolada, przyprawowosc. taki belg ciut w strone stoutu. w ustach dosc pelny i lepki, ale bez ekstremow, slodkawy, lekko czuc alkohol. posmaki o dziwo lekko pikantne i ciut kwaskowate. baardzo dobre, deserowe.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Dark brown coloured with red glare, small beige head, dried fruits and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, fruits and alcohol with notes of dried fruits and wood. Slightly hoppy and alcoholic finish. Nice one.

Mooie stout.

Dark brown bear with a creme head. Positoned as a strong Belgian ale, but with direction to a strong Stout. Taste and smell of roasted malt, chocolate, dry red fruit, smoke, bitter coffee. Very thick and smooth. An excellent enjoy beer!

0.75l, bottled 23 january 2013. Cork releases with a nearly unnoticeable plop, probably lost some carbonation. Pours a dark amber-brown color with a think tan layer of foam. Aroma is dark malty, candied fruits, prunes and raisins, some tobacco, some spicy yeasts, some roasted malts and coffee. Taste is surprisingly fresh-fruity with berries at first, but then a good maltiness comes through, also toffee and figs, butterscotch, some chocolate. Could be an American Strong. A bit oxidized but in a good way. Nearly flat. Quite a viscous mouthfeel. Pleasant stuff, aged gracefully.
