Bottle from The St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A murky dark brown coloured pour with a very small off white head on top that vanishes very quickly. Sweet, dark fruit, plum aroma. Tastes quite sweet, boozy, plums, dark fruit, hint of caramel. A decent Belgian strong style ale but incredibly sweet.

Appearance- very dark brown, no head at all really, apart from around the edge. Aroma- dark fruits, raisin, dark malt, brown bread notes, cherries, a bit vinous, port. Taste- plenty of booze, vinous, hint of sourness, medium mouthfeel, booze-soaked dark fruits, hints of chocolate and brown sugar, not much carbonation, long finish. Big flavours which come out more as it warms. Nice.

Dark brown pour with minimal head. Aromas of dark fruits, brown sugar, and yeast. Flavor is similar with lots of sweet malts at the front followed by plenty of date, plum, and notes of molasses. Abv is well-hidden too. Solid brew.
