Dark mahogany brown ale with quite smallish head. Aroma has everything: Chocolate, tannin, dried fruits, red berries and roasted malts. Taste has tannin, dried fruits, roasted malts, red berries and syrup. Full body with small-to-medium carbonation. Imperial stout and Belgian Strong ale mix, which works pretty well.

Dark pour with a big fizzy tan head. The nose is huge, notes of cidre, breadcrust, raisins, and spice.Mouthfeel is prickly yet creamy, dakr malt notes mingle with port wine. It is very reminiscent of westy imo but sweeter and more amped up as a whole.

Bottle. Pitch black beer with a light, brown coloured headed. The aroma is bitter and roasted, and the flavour is more deeply bitter and roasted with a port like vinous quality. Overall a nice richly flavoured roasted and bitter dark beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. Clear very dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, lots of dried fruit, yeasty and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with warming alcohol. Soft and oily. 140214

Donkerbruine kleur, amper schuim. Ruikt naar peat en toast. Smaakt fantastisch, zwaar en toch zacht, zoet maar niet te.

330 ml bottle. Bottled 24/06/2010. BB 24/06/2015. From bierkompass.de.
Dark reddish brown almost black colour with a small creamy tan head. Strong malt, sweetness, dark fruits, mild roastiness and mild hops in the aroma. Barley Wine aroma. The flavour is super sweet... dark fruits, sweetness, maltiness, oat and some darkness. Way too sweet to be enjoyable. Not my idea of a tasty beer. Mild hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Intoxicating? Hell yeah!
