Bottle 33cl. Black with a foamy brown head. Coffee aroma but also some metallic. Rich taste of chocolate and some coffee. Some bitter hops are present but I miss the balance as the malt is heavily present but the hops are too "light". The balance is not right.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Aroma is smoked malts, hickory, caramel, toffee and fig. Taste is deep rich malts with heavy caramel and dark sugar. Finishes with a sweet and thick molasses like body. Appearance is black with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Przychodzi mi na my?l belgijska czekolada zakl?ta do postaci p?ynnej, aksamitnej i pe?nej smaku. Do perfekcji brakuje niewiele, a? si? chce wype?nia? praliny tym przyjemnym eliksirem.

Dark candied fruits, plum, raisin, leather in the aroma; near black color, khaki head; really sweet and malty, dried fruits, some leather and milk chocolate, hints of spice, licorice and spruce, I like it more and more as it warms; medium body, smooth; I really like it, it’s complex and has depth, but is a touch too sweet for my preference right now.

ASPETTO: marrone scuro, in pratica nero impenetrabile. Schiuma marroncina, fine, persistente e abbastanza abbondante. AROMA: caldo e avvolgente, prugne , ciliegie sotto spirito, leggero tostato. GUSTO: dolce, ma una dolcezza stemperata dal tostato, liquorosa, calda e avvolgente. Veramente un capolavoro.

On tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours a blackish, reddish brown with a small, nut brown head. Aroma has lots of malts, overripe fruits, figs, prunes, raisins, some milk chocolate, toasted malts, roasted malts. Taste is very sweet with the classic De Molen gasoline-like mix of booze and sweetness. Light savory and a light bitterness. Average to low carbonation and a sticky texture.

Bottle. Sensoric. Deep brown with small, light brown head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is complex - mainly dried dark fruits (plums, raisins), cherries, also some mild coffee and chocolate. Taste is semi-sweet, Medium to full body, oilt/sticky texture, soft carbonation, finish is heavy sweet, warming and complex. In overall nice, dessert beer, very drinkable. Nice combination with some roasted malts.
