Draft poured at the festival with Andrew. Pours a nearly pitch black body with thick oily texture. Aroma is wood, dark fruit, brandy, and wood. Mouthfeel is oily with notes of oak, bourbon, chocolate, sweet dark fruit, and molasses. Thanks Menno for another fantastically aged beer.

@ PINT WBF ’12. The aroma has lots of raisiny, roasty malts, fruitiness. Dark brown coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is sweet, slightly bitter, has roasty malts, lots of fruits, some chocolate, woody tones. Good, full mouthfeel. Nice one.

Tap @ WBF Gouda. Dark Brown beer, beige head. Aroma of liquorice, alchohol, spicy wood, a hint of tar or soya-sauce and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel, a bit low carbo. Taste: sweet cherry, liquorice, mocca/chocolate, wood, roasted. Nice winterwarmer.

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2012. Very dark brown color, lightly a red glow coming through. Small off-white head. Smell roasty, alcohol, slightly sweet and some coffee. Taste roastyness, coffee, slightly alcohol and wood. Great mouthfeel: full body and perfect carbonation.

Dark orange, cloudy body. Chocolate, whiskey, liquorish and dried fruit. Barrel aging doesn’t reveal too much, luckily. Barley wine like smooth, strong dark hops, some alcohol. (At Pint Winterbier Festival 2012)
