Christian (11021) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2014
At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of licorice and roasted malt, with bourbon and vanilla notes. Sweet, roasted flavour with a hint of smoke. Roasted bitterness and bourbon notes. Somewhat sharp flavour, perhaps a little young?

33 cl bottle (10.8%) @wPBF14. Bottled 17.09.2013, BBE 17.09.2023
Aroma is boozy with rubber notes, some salty licorice and some sweet fruitiness. Flavour is boozy with salty licorice, some bourbon tones and too well roasted malt with rubbery bitterness. Just too boozy and stinging.

Bottle 330ml (WPBF)
Thanks bierkoning! Opaque black color, small steady beige head. Apple, bourbon alcohol in the nose. Full-bodied, sticky. Loads of bourbon, not much vanilla. Strong roast, sweetness. A bit messy but otherwise another good impy from Menno.

jbeatty (1013) - New York, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Bottle, 11/23/2013. Pours thick dark brown, nearly black, dense mocha tan head fades to swirl on the surface, decent build-up of lacing. Aroma is chocolate brownie, sweet syrupy fruit, mild roast with gentle bourbon finish, understated. Taste is dark chocolate, rich berry, fruity character, with coffee, hoppy bitter undertones, touch of bourbon in the finish, a bit hot. Thick, creamy body, smooth. Well done.
