4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle@AGTí13: Vintage 2010: #119/431: Served in a Duvel glass:
Medium sized yellow ish beige brown foamy head that changes into a thick lacing on top of a deep dark brown colored beer.
Aromas is quite the same like coffee ad coffee roast, coffee beans, chalk, wood roast, some malt roast and chocolate.
Flavours of coffee, coffee cream, some milk, malt roast, wood roast, chalk, milk chocolate, mocha, sweets, some bitters, brown sugars, some caramel, some cream, toffee and some sweet leaves.
Aftertaste is a mix of coffee, coffee roast, mocha, light chocolate, malt roast and bitter spicy tones.
Low carbo, soft creamy close to silky mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy oily texture.
Very much the same as Mout & Mocca 1, just a bot less sweet and less thick.
While this one is a bit easier to drink, I think the no.1 is more complex and thicker but also less easier to drink because of the sweetness. But due to itís thickness abd complexity I think no.1 is better.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
In short: A harsh, sweet, boozy, dirty dark beer. Low drinkability. Just ok.
How: Bottle 750ml, corked & caged. Consumed 2 years after bottling date, bottle sent to me by grownfool, thanks a lot Brian.
The look: Dark brown body topped by a large tan head quickly settling down to a small layer of foam.
In long: Nose is roasted, brownies, mocha coffee, marshmallows. Taste is very grainy burnt cereals, lots of milk chocolate, a sip of strong black coffee, a handful of dirt, nougat, light sensation of ashes, cocoa powder, creamy chocolaty pudding, booze, dry grass. Overall drinkability is quite low, the carbonation is aggressive, the beer feels very sweet, it has a grainy harsh texture and the alcohol bite is quite hard on the palate. I usually take down a 750ml of a 10% beer rather quickly (sadly 10% is a light impy stout nowadays) but this one went down slooowwwlly. Anyway, another 750ml I drank even though I didnít like the beer much, I know many people are saying that all I do every day is drink beer, that Iíve been drinking a lot of beer every night for the past 20 years, but thatís not true, these people seem to forget about a certain October 16 1998.

This is an incredibly wonderful beer!
Bottle 284/431 - 750 ml bottle at home, served about 10 cl in an oversized wine glass - Pours deep brown with reddish hue, nice firm small light beige head.
Aroma is just so intense: green paprica mixed with fresh coffee roast and coffee bitterness of the beans, dark chocolate and stewed plums.
Balance is oooow soooo perfect: roastiness perfectly balanced with the sweetness, making one think of a perfect espresso, all countered with a pleasant bitterness, giving it a full body.
Flavour is sweet coffee with dark berries, dark chocolate with a tad alcohol burn... makes me think of a decent Irish coffee...
Overall: definite HIT! Thank you Menno!!

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
750mL bottle, bottled on 4/24/10, #401/431. Poured cola brown with a tall, sticky, well-retained toasted beige head. The aroma picked up a healthy dose of roasty, earthy, nutty coffee with vanilla bean, cocoa, and mocha on the back of the nose.. sweet and somehow soft.. lovely! The flavor found a kiss of tangy coffee bean on the tip of the tongue, with sweeter, roasty coffee and milk chocolate following.. complementary dark fruity yeast on the spicy edges.. lively coffee acidity cut through milky cocoa and coffee roast on the finish. Medium-plus bodied with smooth, rolling carbonation on the palate.. creamy, with nice acidity keeping it from being cloying.. great feel and flow. I tried to think of a reason to not totally love this one, but I failed to find one. Wow!
